Root 2.1 Leak Root or rollback status?

Isn't the incredible 3.7 in screen though? That's a lot bigger than the Eris, so don't understand why the incredible will be the upgrade to the Eris. :(

It'll be like the big brother.

And the screen takes up more of the real estate of the phone. So the phone's not terribly bigger, just the screen is a higher % of the face of it.

Like the droid. The motodroid isn't REALLY taller or wider than the Eris, if you look at them. It's just deeper (bc of the keyboard?) and the corners stick out instead of rounding out.

The bigger screen on the Droid? takes up more % of the face of the phone. Same idea.

Either way, on the irc chats, rumors are afloat that they are trying something that will either root the Leak 2.1 or brick the Leak 2.1 in the near future. Stand by.

I talked to a guy in my networking class that works for Verizon, and he said that his manager dropped his Eris in the toilet, and as a replacement device they were going to send him the Incredible. I'm taking it with a grain of salt, but I told him when he gets it, take pictures and let me see them. If Asurion (or whoever the insurance co is this week) is giving out Incredibles as new replacement devices, I might just have to just ship off of my 2.1 Leaked Eris and get on that boat.

...wow, I've been quoted in someones signature o.o

Jamezelle is a girl.

Just so ya know.

And I hope that this rollback works out. I'm sure someone will post it here, as well as a couple of other threads about it.

roffle. I'm sure many of us are chomping at the bit for a rollback or root from the 2.1 leak, but unfortunately, I doubt we'll see a solution to our anxiety for at least a few weeks, as (I believe) HTC stuck a butt plug in the hole used to root 1.5. Right?

Interesting choice of analogy and it does fit for the most part except that some people enjoy that sort of thing. But yes, I do believe a "butt plug" has been placed in the hole.

Ok so I did the both the leaks, and have had no big issues with either of them. But since the last 2.1 leak like just a few days I say that there was root for the fist 2.0 leak (should have waited a few day i guess). I would real like to have root for 2.0 or 2.1. if theres any way I can help with this. If some one can point me in the right direction that would be great. Thanks

You might have to put up a sticky titled "current root status for 2.1 leak," even if it has NONE in big letters and a date in the first post and nothing else.

i agree. if for no other reason than to make it simple and totally clear to anyone wondering. to me, being not so tech savy as some of the others on this site, its difficult trying to distinguish exactly which version of root or leak these people are talking about. a sticky with date and progress, possibly updated once a week or so would be awesome

look at the first page of the first sticky on this board.

The majority of us know this, but a lot still don't know to look, which is why I suggested what I did above. A nice sticky probably in caps so its perfectly clear when you come on the page where to look.
Frankly on every forum I have ever been on (regardless of subject) this is a never ending issue. people skip the stickies and post their questions disregarding anything posted before hand. these are the same people who do not use the search function or somehow fail to use the search function properly.

I usually put up with it the first week or so when new to any forum and eventually I just start ignoring the repetitive questions.

i skipped to the final pages, then after posting that whent back and saw.

what i mean is slightly different though. not a thread open to everyone to post. it would get bogged down with all of these other topics.
i mean a thread reserved specifically for the devs to post the status and nothing else.
