Hi..

I am presenting NeatROM Lite 2.3.5 Gingerbread Version..

Features:
Rooted
SuperUser
Signed
Bloatware Apps Removed (Will provide the list later)
Disabled Scrolling Cache
Disabled Boot Sounds

Nothing special on this rom.. This rom is totally for battery life and performance rather than cool features :) .. This rom comes with CF-Root kernel though :)

This is a stock rom so no need of posting screenshots however i will provide battery life screenshots ASAP :)

Far be it from me to curb your undoubted enthusiasm for the NEAT ROM, MrKiLLeR, but we already have a very popular thread on NEAT ROM, started way back in May, 2012, and regularly updated by the developer of NEAT ROM, salesale. This features releases for Gingerbread, ICS and Jelly Bean as well as the official download links and mod's.

Neat ROM ;)

I agree :) but i took permissions from SaleSale to start a new thread because this version of NeatROM is not released. He made this version just for me :) so that is the only reason i started the thread :)

That was not clear from your initial posting I am afraid.

In what way does this customised version differ from the other NEAT ROM Lite versions for Gingerbread, here?

The reason for asking is that if it is location specific it may not be suitable for the majority of users and could cause problems.

I am afraid i cannot find any gingerbread version on the link you provided..and its location based but its clean version with no bloatware :p so its usefull i guess

You are right... sale's NEAT ROM 2.3.2 is in fact ICS.

.and its location based but its clean version with no bloatware :p so its usefull i guess

If it is location based, does this this mean that it does not have a full European language pack, roughly 32 languages, and contains a specific modem/baseband for Pakistan?

If so, it might be a good idea to make this clear this in your post #1.

I was wondering if there was any reason that you are promoting the old Gingerbread firmware and have not updated to ICS or even the latest JB?

Yes it lacks the language pack and i use gingerbread because of battery life .. I was using JB neatrom before and i was just fed up tweaking the rom for battery performance...

Without wishing to labour the point, I think that as it is obviously based on Pakistani firmware, (OJP perhaps? Which has a very limited language pack of Arabic, English, French, Farsi and Urdu?), and possibly a non European modem, that you should make this abundantly clear in either the thread title or the first post, or both preferably, in case anyone outside of the scope of the firmware tries to flash it and encounters problems.

You could also publish the Baseband version and Build number it is based on to also avoid confusion.

(Settings > About phone > )

The above could be the very reason that salesale suggested that you posted this ROM separately, so as to not be confused with his usual mainstream releases.

EDIT I see it has already caused the confusion I mentioned above on your xda thread, here...

Seriously you're funny bro ;) i don't use any tweaks for jb, only Siyah kernel in default settings and I get way better battery than on GB or ICS. That's why I'm wondering why u had to go back to GB... Screen shots above aren't showing impressive battery life, nothing more than average.

I didnt get good battery life thats y i m gb and first of all i dont like incomimg calls screenilon ics or jb too lol..

I think Ironass has been the model of tact and diplomacy (his new year resolution is obviously holding!). He only wanted it making clear in this thread what the ROM is based on after seeing some confusion on XDA.

While I see why the OP posted, I cannot see why any one would want to go back to GB. I can get around 10 hours of battery with very heavy use including around 2hours of Sat Nav usage via Sygic. This using unmodified Siyah beta (with BLN-breathing set).

GB for me was only good with CheckRom and "The Kitchen", even then battery life was awful. I much prefer Sale Sale's JB NeatROM with mods and tweaks through Aroma installation.

Ok, this thread is a little lighter on posts now, that should get things back on track. :)

MrKiLLeR, I see you've edited based on some of Ironass' suggestions, but if this is going to cause issues for people in certain geographical locations, that needs to be made abundantly clear in the OP, thanks!

I will edit the post accordingly ...
