I've been gathering information and looking for a screen protector. Then I saw this screen protector on YouTube:

ZAGG invisibleSHIELD EXTREME commerical (with an iPhone 4)

It is the "Extreme" version of the invisibleSHIELD.

The same product is also available for

Samsung Galaxy S3 at the manufacturer's website.

Here, a YouTube video of some kids at Best Buy (employees) testing the invisibleSHIELD EXTREME on someone's Samsung Galaxy S3. They hit the screen with hammers, (i.e., a normal-sized hammer and then a... mallet,) cut it with a box cutter, and then drop it face-down onto the floor.

Here is a video of another torture test of the invisibleSHIELD Extreme by a YouTube user.

I am very impressed. I'd like to know: how does the screen protector feel to the touch? Does it decrease the touch sensitivity of a phone? Does it reduce clarity? Does anyone have any experience with that "Extreme" product?

when i first got my GS3 i went to best buy and bought the zagg, they installed it for me, but at the top edge somehow dirt got under the film and it just kept on lifting and curling at the top , it felt really smooth like glass except for the curling at the top it was perfect, very expensive and i had to pay an extra $7 for the girl at best buy to install it......after i a few days i took it off.......that curling thing was driving me nuts....

it has a lifetime guarantee, i got a replacement back in the mail still in the box.....

I am using the one which came with my Commuter Otterbox.

I followed the manufacturer instructions exactly and still ended up with a small piece of dust under the protector. I called Otterbox and they ovrnighted 3 more protectors free of charge (to Hawaii that is). I eventually got one of the protectors on perfect and its awesome. Can't tell its on there and feels well protected.

To compare, i had a zagg on my last phone purchased at Best Buy. It worked and felt great. However, having used the Otterbox version, no way would I pay their premium prices. They work and are nice, but cheaper and comparable products are out there.

I got the HD and I'd say very worth it. I've dropped and scratched it a few times. No worse than the day I got it.

That said if you get one put it on CORRECTLY.

I've done about 30-40 of these. You need to soak the protector with the spray, not 1 or 2 like 10 sprays, and then soak the screen. (Make sure the phone is off)
Then use the rubber piece and squeegee it on. Then wipe off excess spray and DO NOT turn it on for a couple hours.

If you do it right, no bubbles, no peeling, looks and works like a champ.

I had actually dropped my previous smartphone (MetroPCS LG Esteem) a few times, face down. I had a good protective case so the phone did not get a scratch. That is why I want the maximum protection for my phone. I know I have a habit of dropping my phone.

I'm looking at the EXTREME, not HD. Does anyone have experience with the EXTREME one?

I can't imagine how much better the extreme could be than the regular kind. You literally cannot scratch that stuff unless you intentionally gouge it with a knife or something. I had the full body on my last phone for a year and it still doesn't have a mark on it. I only put it on the battery cover, though. I like the feel of the bare glass, and never got a scratch on the Gorilla Glass after a year carrying it in my pocket naked either.
