You are a little behind, its been there for at least a week for download to a droid with 2.1

Chris....You need to stay upto date with the forum.....this has been an issue all week.

I haven't had a real chance to play with it yet, but I am glad it is available. It looks neat and I look forward to playing with it. Thanks Akokonas for the information.

Thats what i was wondering... Does Google Earth offer anything different than just using Google maps and switching to sat view? Seems kind of redundant.

I wonder why Google doesn't put everything into one map app and be done with it. My Tracks, google earth, and full GPS functionality to drop and store waypoints etc.

Just downloaded it on my Droid. I live in Delaware but am in Philadelphia at the moment and it keeps saying I am in Delaware when I tap "My Location", also when I enter the address in Philly where I am at, it shows it in the wrong location! What's up with this? There is a big difference between the 4100 block where I am and the 5400 block where its showing I am on the google earth map!

I'll add it when we can store apps on the SDcard.. until then, Google Maps with satellite overlay will MORE than suffice! ;)

Download it, use AstroFile manager to back it up to your SD card, and then uninstall it. If you ever need Earth again and it's not on the market, you can go into AstroFile manager and download it from your SD card.

Settings - Tools - Application Manager/Backup

For me, Google Earth is good for one thing: showing off the awesomeness of your Droid.
