Waiting for AT&T to push Multi-Window Update Today...but first, a question...

canada is getting shoved like we are some third world country with limited cell coverage. so annoying... i got the phone cause of the multiwindow option along with other things and i still dont have that =/ gahhh
LOL. Yeah, got the phone for it as well. It's great on the Note 10.1 (even though the apps are more limited), just wish it was on the Note 2 already. I hate myself for not checking the Note 2 model at the Samsung booth a few months ago. It was on the Bell network but with multiview enabled. It actually worked well in portrait mode. I can only surmise now that it was probably an unlocked international Note 2 they were flaunting, but not letting anyone know.

Hate it when they market something that obviously isn't even available yet, especially when I was playing with it at the booth.

Did the manual update. That went well despite the fact it wiped my phone.

All seems to be working on my phone except....

Chrome. The Samsung Keyboard stops working every time I use Chrome. I get a crash screen come up every time. I am wondering if this is an ill side-effect of the file I used to upgrade this phone manually.

Anyone else who updated their phone using the file mentioned in this thread want to try out Chrome with the standard keyboard to see if it crashes as well and report back?

For those who still haven't gotten the update, have you tried checking for the update in Kies? I know this is an OTA update but perhaps it might also be available in Kies as well. Just a thought

I've been checking Kies everyday since Dec 27th when it was announced, & last checked 11pm CST last night.

I'm located in SD on AT&T & nothing here yet. I have checked for an OTA a few times but don't want to rack up hours of waiting that way.

I just want my stinkin update :(

Samsung locked portrait mode for homescreen with their TW launcher. I don't think they'll change that anytime soon. I've been using Nova Launcher since my first day with the Note 2. I never liked TW since using it on the Note with GB/ICS.

Wish the update would come already.

I'm still waiting for the OTA update from AT&T. I called them a couple weeks ago, and they basically said they are rolling it out via a list or something, and I'll get it when I get it. They would not even provide an upper bound. I complained further, and the supervisor basically told me that AT&T is giving this update out of the goodness of their hearts, and there is no business reason to do so... that comment was well received, believe me. I told him it was false advertising to show a phone on TV using multi-window, and then not support it. He didn't care for that argument. He said people who buy it now get the update. I said why can someone release a game on iTunes and have a million downloads by the next day, but AT&T can't roll out an update in less than weeks... also no good response.

Anyway, is there anyone else yet who has not gotten the update, or I am the only one? I read about some people restoring their phone to factory reset, and then getting the update. I'd really rather not do that if I don't need to.

Has anyone figured out another way to get the update?

Thanks.
