Help How can I improve the battery life for my EVO V 4G from virgin mobile?

I just bought an HTC EVO V 4G from virgin mobile and have realized that the battery life is terrible. Just going on facebook for 5-10 minutes using wifi drains the battery about 10% or so (not to mention what taking a picture with 3D on does to it). I have auto-sync turned off and don't use 4G or 3G at all right now. I have it rooted and S-off and have tried a few different ROMs that claim to greatly improve battery life, all to no avail. :( The only things I can think of to do next is to buy an extended battery (which I don't even know if its worth the price with this phone) or buy a whole new phone. I have always used moto droid phones whose batteries last 2 days for me, so I am new to issues involving batteries. Please help!!

If you're a moderate-heavy user just get the extended battery that's what I had to do for mine, but your stock battery drops extremely fast , I can sit on FB/Twitter for a while and the battery will take a while to drop 10%..
Make sure brightness is down , get juice defender or a battery app... No other suggestions

I'm a light-moderate user and my battery lasts about 18 hours. If you don't want to buy an extended battery, buy juice defender and put it on the "extreme" setting (you can't use it with the free version). Or just don't use your phone a lot.

battery apps are a joke. try DROIDWALL. it can block any app from accessing the web. This helps a ton. also turn automatic brigtness off.
