Help Note 2 SGH-l317M multi view problem? Bell

Hey guys I have a note 2 with Bell Canada I know that some people haven't been able to get this option here in Canada but the only stuff I found online was from back in November. Has anything happened? My friend has this multi view on his note 2 so I just found this weird. Is it the phone that needs an update or is just me being handicapped and just haven't figured it out yet? if it is me, can someone please link me to a video or a write up of how to get this done. If it is the update, is there any date that this is coming out? I just switched from an Iphone and dont understand how some phones get updated/have the ability to do things and others dont?

I have a Telus Note 2 and no multiview. Your friend probably either rooted and installed a custom ROM or has an international one. Although I believe the original Note was slated for a JB update early this month. So maybe we'll see the update at that time.

Im pretty sure hes with telus actually and trust me, he is the last person who would understand how to root his phone.

Also he bought the phone through telus who I doubt offers euro phones

Really? I have 3 Telus Note 2s and none of them have multiscreen capabilities. Nothing OTA or KIES. Also keeping an eye out for the Rogers Note JB update. As far as I know, there is no multiscreen for the Canadian Note 2 yet.

Well I was more curious about the video viewing while being able to work in the background. I assumed that it would be possible to do that while watching youtube or netflix but I was incorrect. Figured out that I can only do that with movies I put onto the phone from my computer and not steaming videos....too bad :S

Another question if I may, are we able to change the LED colour on the note 2? I thought this phone allowed it but I may be mistaken for the S3

Not aware of that. Nothing in the settings I can find that will do it. Maybe through an app, but not on the phone itself.

I can stream youtube or any video in a seperate window while doing something else Im on bell but dont ask how I do it cause I have no idea..lol just got the phone a couple weeks ago
I'll try & figure it out then try & explain how tho..lol

I know Video Player allows a pop-up window to view while doing other things. When playing a video in Video Player, you'll see a window icon with a diagonal arrow pointing to a smaller window on the bottom right corner. Press that and you'll get the pop-up video window.

However, not aware of it being able to stream videos via youtube or netflix. If you are doing it, please let me know!

Edit: At least there are some developers that are starting to implement it without the need to root. ezPDF and Moon Reader+ have added multi-window support on my Note 10.1. So I expect to see this on the Note 2.

I've got a Telus Note 2 here in Bolton (North of Toronto) and I do not have the multi-view either. We'll have to wait for the 4.1.2 update.....no release date announced for it yet.
