Greetings... (W/F S User)

Hi there,
Name is Gryff, and I'm what some of you younger guys would probably call an "old fart," as I'm over 45 years old! However, I'm not completely useless, yet, and enjoy tinkering with new tech, which is why I'm here.
Being new to the Android I decided weeks ago to learn as much about it as possible. I have the Wildfire S running O/S 2.3.4 and have been bothered about the lack of memory (As probably everyone that owns one does) and I have been reading threads constantly over the past few days, mostly those connected to "rooting" the phone.
I would like to thank ALL the people who have shared their knowledge on this, and other numerous forums as I now feel confident enough to attempt to root my Wildfire S phone. I don't really believe I have a desperate need to do it, rather I just want to do it, "because I can." Of course in addition to that, I really would like to open the phone to it's full potential. Once I have attempted the root, I will return here and open a new thread in the appropiate section to share my experience. I hope that anyone else who has a similar objective will gain some knowledge from it in the future.

Just so you know, there's at least a couple of us "old" folks here (I'm a little over 45 myself), so you're not alone here.

I see that you've found and posted in the Wildfire S section, so hopefully the good folks over there can help you get your phone rooted (and of course, stay off your lawn! ) Best of luck to you!

Thank you, but guess what? I was all about it yesterday with the "rooting" business and, thought I was doing OK... but alas I fuffled it somehow, have the bootloader unlocked but cannot access recovery. So for me, taking the time to introduce myself and signing up here surely was the right thing to do because now I need HELP! haha!

So, I'm off over to the Wildfire S section to plead, beg, cry, sob, pout, stare in utter disgust and maybe a scream or two, hopefully some nice people will recognize my insanity and help me solve my self-produced issue.
