if you have the 30 dollar tmobile plan do you pay a solid 30 dollars a month?

hint .. hint

Buy it off fleabay. They avg about $27.

There is a website that email me and get discount also. Its callingmart something. Already give you hint. There might be others out there.

Buy at Target, T-mobile etc. of course you have to pay tax.

I will start using T-mobile when my Sprint contract is over. So these are all I know.

The only tax you may need to pay is sales tax and the e911 emergency fund (typically 50 cents to a dollar). The 911 fee depends on your local area, most people aren't charged the fee. Personally, I've been using callingmart.com to buy a $30 T-Mobile card. I pay about $28.50 and no tax using a 5% discount code, you can typically find a discount code if you search the web or even ask here at AF.

The last discount code I used was hldys125, though it was supposed to expire on Jan. 3. I haven't seen a new code yet.

That is alright. Just as long as no big company buy any similar smaller company.

PCS != GSM . Different technology. I am confused.

From what I understand, even before the merger, Metro had announced that they were switching over to GSM. As I understand it, while Metro may remain a separate identity, both T-Mobile and Metro phones will be on the T-Mobile network (with the Metro network refarmed to be part of T-Mobile's network).

The big advantage to this is T-Mobile will already have LTE in the cities where Metro operates, once they get the towers added to the T-Mobile network.

Sorry this isn't really correct. Metro wasn't going to switch to GSM, Metro was going to shutdown their CDMA network and just have VoLTE, so their timeline on CDMA shutdown hasn't really changed.
What will now happen is T-Mobile will be using the same frequency as Metro for LTE so where Metro already has LTE established so will T-Mobile after the merger.
Over the next couple years Metro will transition their customers to GSM phones and in 2015 Metro will shutdown their CDMA network which will then be refarmed to T-Mobile's 3/4G frequency.

Wait. Does that mean metropcs operates on band 4 LTE? Because I know T-Mobile's version is...

The $30 plan with 5GB and 100 min can only be bought at those 3 sites? I cant get it anywhere else right?

I don't think I understand your question. The $30 plan has to be activated at either Walmart or online through t-mobile.com. You can either buy a T-Mobile Monthly phone or order a SIM from t-mobile.com

You can buy T-Mobile prepaid cards for the T-Mobile Monthly $30 plan at a number of locations or you can add money to your account by credit card (either online or over the phone). It doesn't need to be a $30 card, the money gets added to your Monthly account, you just need to have $30 in the account when your monthly payment is due. There are several people here who buy $50 cards from eBay and use them on the $30 plan.

mogelijk,

I have confused about this on T-mobile prepaid on their website for the $30 100 min 5GB data:

New activations only. Available exclusively in-store at Walmart, on Walmart.com, and T-Mobile.com.

I thought this plan you can only buy thru Walmart and T-mobile.com

i personally just ordered a sim thru tmo's website when i received it i activated online dont know others experience

I'm counting Walmart and walmart.com as one, especially since if you order from walmart.com, you still would need to go to t-mobile.com or a Walmart store to activate the SIM card. Once the SIM is activated, it will work in any T-Mobile compatible phone; it doesn't matter where the phone was purchased.
