All,

Team HTCDEV is paving a new path for the Virgin Mobile Evo V 4G...but how you ask? Simple, by building ROM's from source code of course :D. I am sure many of you have seen, and are using the following ROM

http://androidforums.com/evo-v-4g-all-things-root/662763-rom-htccm10-build-20130102-a.html

Chairshot, and myself have found many differences in the library files, and also the kernel configs between the Evo V and the Evo 3D as we are revamping the complete ROM from ground up. Yes the Sprint ROM's and also Sprint Kernel's work on our phone but there is definitely subtle differences, specially in the Audio files! Anyone having MP3's barfing on you?!?!

So how can you help out the Team moving forward?

Well we, as a whole collective group at Android Forums can request the source code for the Virgin Mobile kernel! This will only take a few moments of your time. Just fill out the form and request you would really appreciate the Kernel source code for the Virgin Mobile Evo V 4G. I mean just look, HTC is begging us to ask

Tell us what YOU want.
Great ideas. Nobody believes in their pursuit more than HTC.
That

HERE IS THE GENERIC RESPONSE THAT I THOUGHT WE WOULD GET. I AM BEGINNING TO THINK THAT THEY ARE SIMPLY NOT GONNA RELEASE IT. THEY HAVE ALREADY RELEASED THE CODE FOR THE DROID DNA. SO I DONT KNOW IF THERE IS ANY HOPE

Dear David,

Thank you for contacting us. David, we understand how important this information is for you.

HTC is committed to assisting customers in unlocking bootloaders for HTC devices. However, certain models may not be unlockable due to operator restrictions. We continue to work with our partners on this, check back often for ongoing updates about unlockable devices.
just wanted to point out that my question had nothing to do with unlocking so they prob didn't even completely read my comments...
Regarding the Jelly Bean update, we know HTC fans are excited to get their hands on Google’s latest version of Android. At this point in time, we can confirm that we have plans to upgrade our HTC One X, HTC One XL and HTC One S to Jelly Bean. Please stay tuned for more updates regarding device upgrades, timing and other details about HTC and Jelly Bean.

We understand this update is really important for you, if we decide to launch it, we need to verify if this will improve your phone features and even more important, if it will improve your experience with this HTC device.
did ask about jellybean but this is the least helpfull shit...

If you need further assistance please reply this message. As always it was my pleasure to assist you.

Thanks for your continuous support of our products and services. Feel free to visit us at HTC - Mobile Phones, Smartphones, Cell Phones, Tablets for important information about HTC, or contact us by phone at 1-866-449-8358 between 6am to 1am EST, 7 days a week for your convenience.
