Just wondering if anyone has tried any extended batteries for this phone?

I am looking at this one: Amazon.com: Trexcell Samsung Epic Touch 4G SPH-D710 3800mah Extended Battery + Cover (Compatible ONLY with SPRINT Epic Touch Phone): Cell Phones & Accessories

And it also has a compatible case: Amazon.com: Trexcell Black Thermoplastic TPU Cover Case for Sprint Epic Touch 4G Extended Battery: Cell Phones & Accessories

I do like the fact this battery has a compatible case, but I am not sure if it is the best brand of battery? Also, if anyone is aware of an extended battery that has a compatible silicone case rather than the TPU case, I would be more interested :)

You don't have to buy both. The battery comes with a battery door. Very slip resistant; matte finish.
The case is optional. It's also very slip resistant and honestly it looks pretty sharp. Not as bulky as I imagined. The life so far seems amazing. I'm averaging about 1% per hour drain while the phone is in idle. During usage (texting, Facebook etc) it seems to be averaging 3% per hour.

I watched a movie on Netflix that was exactly an hour and a half long over wifi and it took 13% of my juice. I'll have more scientific tests later on as I'm measuring actual tests by both letting the phone idle all day long while not using it and also while trying to use it as much as possible. But so far I'm very happy with it. I only charge it at night now and I never charge it at work like I used to.

Nice! Glad to see it was worth your money. :)

I just got my SG2 last weekend and I'm already tired of the dismal battery life. I came here to look before I purchased something on Amazon and here was the post I needed. I just ordered this. Thanks!!
I would get the Anker ones here Amazon.com: Anker 2 x 1800mAh Li-ion Batteries for Samsung Galaxy S 4G T959v,Sprint Samsung Galaxy S2 II Epic 4G Touch SPH-D710, U.S. Cellular Galaxy S2 II SCH-R760 + Free Anker Multi-purpose USB Travel Charger: Cell Phones & Accessories . I used Anker before and can only say good things about it. Their batteries actually last longer than the OEM ones and the one that I linked comes with 2 so if you run out of juice then you can always pop in the spare.
