I'm pretty happy with my nexus 4 right now, however today CES really starts off 2013 in the tech world, and I'm pretty interested in hearing what people would like to see the next nexus coming with?

For me...

1- LTE LTE LTE LTE, yes I want LTE on board with my next nexus! I'm in NYC which is becoming so saturated with LTE coverage that to me its something that absolutely needs to be on my next phone...

2- A Bigger screen with less bezel! I feel like LG lost out on a ton of screen size by giving the bottom and top of the nexus 4 so much dead space. Honestly if they slim the phone down a bit and shave some of the bezel off and bring me a true 4.7-4.8 inch screen with hardly any bezel I'll be very happy.

3- A truly great Camera! I like having a good camera on my phone, and while the nexus 4's camera is not absolutely terrible, its a little unreliable in certain lighting. A good pic can be had with the nexus 4, but it takes a few shots to really get a good pic. I feel that the next manufacturer that builds the next nexus should really pay attention to the camera.

4- Better battery life! I'm really hoping that Motorola is building the next nexus because if it comes with maxx type battery life that would be absolutely amazing!

And that's pretty much my wish list for the next nexus...How bout you guys?

A 5 inch screen
Made by Moto
3,000+ mAh battery
1080p screen
GSM LTE variant

The rest of the specs are trust will be top of the line in regards to RAM and being quad core and what not. If they had the above in the "Next Nexus" (Just saying Next Nexus gets me excited :p ) I will without a doubt purchase it.

I'm so in if this happens and Google really pulls the trigger and builds a moto nexus!

I don't see that as asking too much? Most devices releasing this year will have pretty much everything me and a few of the other members have noted. So I really don't see any justification of that being deemed as being spoiled? We basically want the specs that many devices this year will launch with, just with Vanilla Android instead of a skin, and for all our updates to come from Google, instead of being at the mercy of the carriers! That's not being spoiled, that's being smart : )

I would prefer Google to keep the budget philosophy. 2013 seems to be the 5.0" display era (4.7" in 2012, 4.3 in 2011...). When I got my first iPhone (3Gs) I thouht any screen bigger than 3.5" was to big for me. Then I bought an HTC Inspire and anything bigger than 4.3" was to big. Now I have 4.7" and I think for the first time that I shouldn't get anything bigger, but if the next Nexus comes with a 5.0" display I would probably get it.

I would also like to see motorola building it. I think they have really nice phones but maybe not to good at merchandising. About specs, I know it will be the best ones at the moment it is released. Will it be Android 4.3 or 5.0?

Honestly the budget thing isn't why I bought the phone, all about the software and not being tied to one carrier. I'll gladly cough up $449-$499 if it means not dealing with carriers anymore and getting updates straight from Google.

Too bad google tattooed $299 on its chest. From now on phones should get a little cheaper i personally see those $600+ for a phone pure manufacturer's manipulation.

Have HTC or Motorola make it with a 5" IPS+ display at 1080p using Gorilla Glass 3 and polycarbonate body, 3000 mAh battery, 64 gigs of internal storage with a micro SD card slot for unparalleled storage, quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 CPU, 8 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics, Dolby sound

Well Tmobile is doing away with discounts when buying a phone, and both at&t and VZW may very well follow as well in the future. I could care less to be honest. In my eyes I'd rather pay a higher premium to be contract free and maybe have some better beefed up specs with superb build quality.

You're talking about nexus line or some other phone? As far as i know nexus series never raced to be a beefed up devices. From my point of view google is trying to offer more affordable products with a decent hardware. HTC and Samsung on the other hand offer a top notch products with beefed up specs.. So i guess you're better go with Samsung or htc because nexus series isn't made for your taste.

Because I'm saying what I'd like to see I should go with an HTC or Samsung phone?

The only thing either a Flagship HTC phone or Samsung phone has on a nexus is better camera optics. You keep going back and fourth and your not effectively adding to the thread by posting what you would like to see in the next nexus, which by the way is the point of the thread.

To be clear, I've owned just about every single Android device that has been put out by at&t, VZW, and Sprint and I've vowed to basically not spend any more money on any non nexus or non vanilla running android phone from here on out for a reason...Because I enjoy the vanilla experience. If like so many of us you feel the same, then please try staying on topic and add some goodness to the thread by stating what you'd like to see.
