Root [CDMA] [ROM]{CDMA}[ROM] Aug-3 MeanROM ICS v2.6 | Sprint 2.89.651.2 | CPU/GPU tweaks | Batt saver

alright well im unlocked, though having a strange problem since flashing the stock, everytime i reset my phone, i have to go through the customization page..... weird, i did notice i need to reflash 4ext since its gone after the ruu.. so im going to try that smart flash this time and see if that makes a difference, and than let the phone sit for 10 mins or so.

If you did a full wipe...a superwipe/data reset, then you'll see this page many times. I've flashed a handful of ROMs on my phone to date. Every time I do it, I do a superwipe, and thus have to re-customize my setup every single time.

Hey, has anyone encountered wifi shutting off when the screen sleeps or timing out or something. I use phone over wifi(text plus) and realized that it kept losing connection and finally noticed that wifi is disconnecting when i let the phone rest.

Am I the only person to notice this. i realize my situation (with phone over wifi) makes it somewhat more prevalent to me as a user than most....

Any help or suggestions appreciated?

using 2.6, recently upgraded from 2.4. (s-off, upgraded to jbears hboot 1.58 and then redowngraded to 1.4) no tweaks installed kernel says 3.0.16-g4211684 htc-kernel@u18000-build-144 #1 SMP PREEMPT (not sure which kernel that is and tempted to flash the kernel in MeanICS folder...after upgrading hboot again, which i believe is neccessary?)

Go into Menu>Settings>Wireless and Networks>Wifi Settings

Then hit Menu>Advanced>Wifi Sleep Policy *Change to never*

So, since this Rom finally got flashed, thanks again, GTA never ran smoother nor any other games. amazing!!! Every game plays amazing, phone has never run better. I have noticed one problem recently trying to play some fps games. It seems multi touch is not working correctly. I tried a.couple games andthe controls were choppy when running and aiming. Also with just holding one button down or running forward. I than downloaded a multi touch tester, the problem is intermittent, sometimes its reading three touches moving smoothly, than the touches flicker, and ill use 1 finger and it begins flickering with the screen saying please touch, than ill put two fingers on and it begins tracking them smooth and than flickering again just like I noticed in games. Is this a problem on my end or is something wrong with the Rom?

Are you using a custom launcher? I was researching around to answer your question and it sounds like custom launchers can cause multi touch to stop working properly. If the answer to this is no I will look around more. If the answer is yes then try removing it and testing again

Hmm unfortunately I can't find anything rom specific. I haven't found anything about multi touch being broken in that rom. If you haven't already, you might want to ask on the rom developer's Page. They might be able to even fix it if it's a problem with the Rom itself. You never know, other people might have complained about the same thing.

you said you got this rom and the anthrax kernel please help me figure out how to do this

i know this post is old but can you please help to figure out how to get the anthrax kernel from chad goodman please.

this is what i have done so far i have register under the infected rom website then i go to downloads and gives this options

Problem Reporting Form: http://code.google.com/p/anthrax-msm8x60-kernels/

"members" who agree to the "user agreement" may download the "software package" at
http://www.androidfilehost.com/main/EVO_3D_Developers/.chad.goodman/
then navigate to the KERNELS directory

a direct link would be --> (does not work for some)
www.androidfilehost.com/main/EVO_3D_Developers/.chad.goodman

i have tried both but the second mirror is the only only that works after that i don't know what else to do kernels downloads but there is no chad goodman section please help.

p.s.
the only reason i want this kernel so bad is so i can get usb host mode kernel support on htc evo 3d cdma sprint thanks in advance.

The issue is there is no more support on this Rom, so the curent kernels might not be compatible on this Rom anymore, I would try updating a more recent Rom

This might not have developer support anymore, but it is still a solid ROM though. I actually just flashed to this ROM the other day because I wanted to finally try out HTC Sense 3.6 and Ice Cream Sandwich. I had been on an AOSP based ROM for ages. I wanted a change.

It is a bit weird going back to HTC Sense after using AOSP for so long, but I like this ROM. It is very snappy and it is good on battery life. MikeyXDA does good work and it is a shame he has moved on from the Sprint HTC EVO 3D, but it is understandable at the same time. I am using the stock kernel and I am not 100% sure if is overclocked or at the stock 1.2 GHz speed, but I do know it is handling how the CPU cores are activated a bit differently. Anyway, I can recommend this ROM for anyone who wants to give a mostly stock HTC Sense 3.6 based ROM a shot. The under the hood tweaks make it that much better.

I actually just rooted ( just HTC method) and flashed this last night. I had a couple issues with some widgets not complying and causing sense to shut down. I then downloaded Nova Launcher and it seems to have alleviated all of my issues.

Everything runs and loads faster. I tried Nova before root and it would lag terribly. Both games and apps.

agreed. It is very snappy. And I have never had 66 percent battery life after 13 hours of use before.

Yeah. I have been impressed with the battery life so far. I am at almost two days on a single charge. Granted, I have not fully set up all of my widgets and background processes yet, but everything is syncing and via 3G too, so I would guess Wi-Fi would be even better. ;)

My screen on time is almost three hours now and I am at around 40% battery life left. I would say the under the hood tweaks for battery life are successful. :)
