there is someone willing to sell their phone for $50 that we as a forum should purchase and send to a dev that we all agree upon im starting this thread in hopes some of you will help organize this and in hopes that we can reserve the phone from him or another person

FYI. Kushdeck was looking a while back for a evo design. Before contacting him I would have everything ready to go to him as the last person backed out on his donation of a phone to him. Twitter is a good way to contact him. Cyanogenmod would be the rom.

The design has a maintainer for evervolv, but the last time I spoke to preludedrew he said a phone in hand would be needed to work out the bugs in his rom. Twitter is how to get a hold of him.

Being that you have a maintainer for evervolv I think your best bet for a phone donation is Kushdeck.

First, that red badge that's under my name hides the developer badge. So there are now two parts to this
The developer part:
The level of tension here is not necessary. You can check my work through the two links in my signature. I was trying to feel out the community.

Let me remind you that if this is your approach to developers, then you're not gonna have alot of luck. Unknownuser1 may remember me from the warp side of the forums.
Though you may not want my help. I do wish you luck. You will find the right person for you in time. And who knows, me, and my team may not have fit in.

The moderator part:
So now here is the way it is. I will not be helping just out of the fact that it may interfere with my staff position.

The approach you should be taking is to ask questions. Get more information, be friendly. Honestly a developer will try to feel the community out to see how they are. Nobody wants to be in the middle of a bunch of hungry wolves(this is not this group, just an example)

So lets move forward with others in positive manner and consider this issue closed.

DTM is also and member as well as staff, we are all in this together, he never asked for a phone, and he simply offered his services to help out, if you did not want the help, there was a nicer way to say so, don't always judge a book by it's cover.

Also there are many Devs that release Roms and fix Roms that they don't have the phone for, so that is not new.

So next time please lets refrain from comments when someone is trying to help, lets all get along and get back on topic and move on from this discussion. ;)
