Help Need SwiftKey Keyboard

... I am now using SwifyKey Flow I have it on a GalaxyS3 ...

@pw
I have been hoping SwiftKey Flow would be available soon but, having just checked in Google Play and Samsung Apps, I haven't been able to find it.

Might you, or anyone else, be able to point me in the right direction to download this app, please? I'd be so very grateful.

Many thanks

Cheers

Wow! That was quick and, yes, just what I wanted :) Mikestony-You're a star!!! Thx
I already use SwiftKey but I'm sure I heard, sometime ago, that SwiftKey were working on a Flow version.

I'm now in the process of downloading. Fingers crossed etc that all goes ok ;)

After posting, I realised I had inadvertently 'hijacked' this thread so, my sincere apologies for such an oversight

Thanks

Ooops! Downloaded SKFlow Beta, went to 'Messaging' to test it out but, once the list of text recipients appeared, it then just disappeared, ie screen black before then showing Homepage again. Tried again, but same thing.

So, went into Settings-Lan & Input- Ha! NO SwiftKey Flow there. SwiftKey (ordinary) still there, which is what I have been using for some time

So, decided a re-boot might be beneficial. On re-boot, the keyboard had reverted to the Samsung stock keyboard, and SwiftKey Flow nowhere to be seen :(

So disappointing but pleased my phone seems ok ;)

Any suggestions? Did I do something wrong???

Any help will be much appreciated, as ever

Thanks

Do you mean there is a final version of 'Flow' or are you meaning SwiftKey (without Flow)? If so, I already use SwiftKey, just that I wanted to try out Flow. Thx

Did you get it to work/install?

Hi
No, I've not managed it.

I downloaded it, via Firefox, from that website as linked above. I then went into Messages to try it but the list of previous text recipients displayed, but then the screen went black, then home screen displayed.

I tried this a couple of times but same thing.

So, then I looked under Settings -- Lang&Input - no 'Flow' keyboard there in list but my existing SwiftKey (non-Flow) was there.

Decided to re-boot (forgive me if wrong terminology ;) ), tried Messages again, all ok except Samsung swipe keyboard came up instead. Went to check the list of available keyboards - no Flow there.

Checked in Apps and Widgets but NO app to be seen for SwiftKey Flow.

So, I must have done something wrong or am looking in the wrong place??? I wouldn't know where else to look - please enlighten ...

As for downloading via PC-phone, via usb cable, I could click and drop but which folder would I put it into? Never downloaded this way

Thanks

I think the easiest way would be to download to your computer and then transfer it to your sd card...just drop it on the root of the sd card (meaning, not in any folder)
Then navigate to your sd card with a file explorer such as ES file explorer, find the swiftkey flow app, and click on it to install.
Do you have a file browser (explorer)?
If not, you can grab ES File Explorer from the Play store.
With that, you can view the contents of your internal sd card and your external sd card (if installed) :)

Why not just download it directly to the phone via the stock browser?

Then, while in the stock browser, select MENU>DOWNLOADS & select the SWIFTKEY FLOW download.
It appears I misread one of Sparrows posts...I thought Sparrow had a problem with doing it that way, but I was incorrect...so yes, that would be easy also:)

Hi and thanks Kolio

I couldn't find it in the stock browser. That was my first place to look for it. Hence all this issue. Could only find SwiftKey (non-Flow) which I already have.

Anyhow, thanks to Mike's prompting, see post #13, I connected phone to PC via usb and checked the download folder in the phone. Then, with OI File Manager, which I already had downloaded, found the file, opened it and up came a message to say installations not permitted unless from Google Play etc.

So, changed the security settings to allow and BINGO - it's installed and working - Yay!!! :)

So, is this now only going to work for 30 days and then I have to revert to the non-Flow version?
Is there anyway I can 'extend' this time?
Is there a date for the final version to be available?

Thanks to everyone and I hope my experience here will be of help to another :)

Cheers

Acknowledged. No problem. Thought that was probably the case ;) Picked your post up before posting - very timely :) Thanks Kolio :)

Since there are Smarter Minds posting about Swiftkey, I'll post a question instead of making a new thread. I searched, and didn't find anything.

I downloaded SK today, and love it. When I start texting a reply to a text, the Word Prediction doesn't come up until after I've sent the text. Or if I press the back button and it takes away the keyboard. Then if I press the reply spot the keyboard will pop back up with Word Prediction. I looked around the settings, but can't find anything that seems to be the problem. Help is appreciated.

I am not sure about that one, but I noticed that while the keyboard is up, and I hit the menu key, word prediction disappears and I cannot type anything.
It's still in beta, so I would expect some bugs:)
If you go to their download site that I linked, there is another link there you can follow to see the changelogs/bugs/discussions about it:)

Glad you got it up & running. But, to address your download issue, you stated that you attempted to d/l w/FIREFOX,not the stock browser, & couldn't find it when looking for it.
I believe the DOWNLOAD application, which is in the app drawer & accessible via the stock browser(MENU>DOWNLOADS), is tied only to the stock browser & not aftermarket browsers.
This is probably why you couldn't find it.

@BHalbrooks--o.k...we're talking about 2 different SK's here:) There is the SK3 you are using, the paid one, in the play store that I did buy also but do not use. I'll switch mine to the paid version a second and see if I can replicate your issue a minute:)
I use SK flow beta that is free, and that is the one I have issues with as it is beta

Ah ha! I have learnt something new, yet again. Wonderful and thank you so much. I just hope I can remember next time I need to do this ;)

Thanks again for all this help. I'm really a happy bunny now, again. ;)

Just hope the final version is available by the time my 30 days are up!!!

Cheers
