Earlier today my battery life was past 32 hours and sitting at 39% left. I was using the YouTube app that came on my phone. All of the sudden my phone froze then the YouTube screen began to shrink slowly until it was a thin white line. Then the phone would not turn back on. So I plugged it in and about 5 minutes later it came back on.
Has anyone else had this happen or might have a clue to what might have caused this? All Verizon did was clear the Motocare app which cleared all my passwords and login information.

It almost sounds like your battery indicator had frozen (I've had this happen) and your battery level was much lower and you pretty much ran out of juice watching the video. 32 hours and still 32% of battery left seems off by a lot unless you almost never use your phone for anything. Was the battery indicator the Circles widget or something else?

Yes, there has been freezes of the Circles widget since JB. I don't use Circles anymore because I'm using Nova now and Circles does not work with Nova unfortunately. (I really liked Circles!)

I'm guessing that was probably the case. For future reference, there is no need to fully drain a battery anymore to get better charges. partial charges do not hurt a battery anymore like the old nickel cadmium battery days where batteries could develop a 'memory'. I charge mine every night but then again I'm a power user so mine is usually down around 10% every night!

Wow...down to 10% every night? Now *that* is some heavy duty usage!

I'm not sure, but calling them and registering the complaints is probably good. Although it seems that when doing that, some people are getting the response that the problems are not known issues. Denial? Are they buying time while trying to figure out a fix? I'm pretty new to all of this and don't really know how fast things get done

Yes, along with all the regular things I do (Phone calls, texting, facebooking, Tasker programming, installing new apps and playing with them, Flipboard surfing) I also stream music almost non-stop for 8 hours during work via BT to an external speaker. I'm working this phone like a dog!

Ok so it just happened again. I was trying to load my camera and it froze, screen began shrinking into a.small line then went black and wouldn't come back about a minute. The battery is at 72% and currently on charge as I'm in the car.. As I was typing this it froze again and I have 3 bars of service on 3g.
Any other ideas? It is running on 4.1.1

Now I would say there is definitely something wrong with the phone. I would return it for a replacement if you can.
