Here's what I'm looking at: SANOXY Micro USB Male to USB A Female Adapter:Amazon:Computers & Accessories

USB to micro USB adapter. Does N10 support OTG?

I have like 3 keyboards, and although it would be nice to have a Bluetooth keyboard, id rather buy a nice case. So I'm trying to figure out another way to hook a standard keyboard to me N10.

Will this work or is it impossible to do what I'm trying?

Any response is appreciated!

Thx in advance!

Chris

I have the one listed in the "frequently bought together" section of your link. The eForCity Micro USB OTG. I just plugged it in and attached my Microsoft Arc wireless keyboard and it works great. It instantly recognized it. If you have a USB hub you can also attach a mouse. I am rooted but I don't think that is needed for the keyboard and mouse option.

Thanks. I might buy the one you have instead.... how do you like it? just hate waiting for things to ship from China.... can take a month!

If you have a wireless keyboard why do you need this?

Debating to get a hub now that you say that... Decisions decisions!

I had a balance on an Amazon gift card and just went ahead and purchased the Samsung branded USB connector.

Works fine in recognizing a keyboard/mouse/flash drive etc. I read some reviews of the cheaper cables and there were reports of the cables damaging people's phones. That alone swayed me towards the Samsung one - better safe than sorry, although it's a bit pricy.

In any case, the one you listed should work when connecting a keyboard

I have one very similar to this one, looks like it may be the same one but from a different seller. I can hook either one device (wireless mouse or keyboard, Flash drive) up through it. I can also hook up a basic four port hub and connect a mouse, keyboard & Flash drive all at once. It was the best $0.83 I ever spent.

That was the first time I tried the keyboard. Only did it because of your question. It's wireless but has the USB dongle that has to be plugged in. It's a good purchase!

I have the USB cable in the Amazon links? I want to use it to check photos on SD cards. When I plug in a reader, it lights up, but I can not figure out how to view the files on the card. I have ES File Explorer but cannot find the SD drive. Am I missing an app or something to see the files on the card?

Purchase the nexus media importer app. There's also the free one that only allows you to view photos

That media importer app works awesome. However my cheap Amazon cable has some short in it or something. I move the cable the slightest bit and the app disconnects. I've narrowed it down to the actual cable and not the USB connections. I'm just going to bite the bullet and try the actual Samsung cable that is listed earlier in this thread. I need solid access to SD cards for field photo work.
