Quick question, will Verizon allow both voice and data simultaneously or will I have to go to AT&T or Tmobile for that? Verizon seems to be the only one who doesn't do this if I am not mistaken. Am I better off going with AT&T if this is something I want?

Verizon and Sprint (uscc and all cdma carriers) can't do voice and data at the same time. That being said most apps dont constantly hog the data connection, so I dont typically miss calls while streaming music and such.
but if its something you can't live without cause luke wilson told you, you need it then ya gotta go to ATT or Tmo, or another GSM carrier ;)

no verizon will never do this. the reason being (as i was told) because there network runs on two streams and uses separate streams at separate times, which is better for reception, while atandt uses one Channel and there fore decreases reception quality, also how many times do you really find yourself having a need to use them at the same time even so as that other guy said wifi.

You'd be surprised. I am almost every week at least 2-3 times finding myself in a situation where I put the phone on speaker and head over to the net to do some research while talking to a buddy while on the move. Maybe its just me, but its something I am looking for in a device that I invest in.

Anyways, thanks for the info. I think I am going to go with tmobile, seems cheaper.

Coming form AT&T, it is extremely useful to be able to access voice and data at the same time. It's not some gimmick that the AT&T marketing monkeys are pushing.

But making calls and using data separately > getting "call failed" x 6 before getting the other caller on static while the data connection is not working at the same time. At least for me in the NYC/NJ area.

Huh? EVDO Rev 0 and LTE are completely UNRELATED. So this comment makes no sense.

neither LTE nor WiMax are capable of simultaneous voice and data, yet. However, using a 4G for data and 3G for vox MAY be possible, it's being worked on. That being said, don't expect 4G from VZW until the end of this year, and don't expect a handset for another year.
