Hi all, I gotmy note2 today and am really enjoying it so far.
Can someone help guide me through disabling Piccasa and then deleting some of the Piccasa pictures? I don't use Piccasa, and can't figure out where this app is, much less how my pictures got in to it.....

Thank so much....

GO TO APPLICATIONS then to GALLERY THEN CLEAR DATA. Picasa pictures GONE.
Then go to SYNC, GOOGLE then to PICASA.

So, if I am new to a smartphone I go to applications? Where's that? Then Gallery?

I am assuming the OP has found a folder in their Gallery called Picassa with some sample pics in it. They don't want it and they are not used to using the phone. I have used Android for a while but thought I'd listen in in case I got picassa foisted on me and it would save me searching.

To elaberate on the rude response you should find the options you need from settings within the picassa application that came pre-installed on your phone. If you need help finding your applications let us know.

Thanks, i have been looking for the Picassa app, but can't seem to find it. But i must have done something right because the Picassa album in my gallery has not shown up since last night.

if you could give me some specific steps to get to Picassa, that would be much appreciated. :)

The doc bar (icons on the bottom of all home screens) should contain one that is coloured squares. This launches the applications page where all installed applications are. You just have to scroll through until you find it.

The menu button (touch button left of the home button) should get you to settings for the app.

From the home screen you can also use the menu button to go to settings. From there Application Settings lets you view the status of installed apps. You can uninstall some and disable others. If anything breaks on disabling things you can just re-enable them. They will have been bounced to the bottom of the list if disabled.

It apears that I have disabled it.....hopefully it won't come back accidentally.

Thanks!

hello excav8ter! picasa web albums are stored on a web server. they are a part of google, so when u add ur google accout, it automatically syncs ur picasa albums. to change this head to settings> accounts and sync. select ur google account and uncheck the option to sync ur picasa albums. if it's already unchecked when u get there then u've already solved the problem. good luck; most puff the ppl here are really friendly and helpful :)

Thank you! I did end up finding it.....I had the same issue with my EVO LTE when I got it.....I guess I should have known it's not an "app" that I could see.

.....about the people on here......I have NEVER felt a bad vibe on here.....everyone is quite willing to help.... I like that......especially since the mods don't let things get out of hand. :)

Thanks again!
