Root [Boost Mobile] Let's Start A Team ROM!?

Okay, so I see a lot of talk about Hybrid roms, taking names, and waiting till stuff is ready to be made public. I don't personally like waiting around for other people to make first moves so I figured while I do indeed have a sequent, As of now it Fudging sucks. So I figured I would start screwing with other devices for the time being and take a chance and rather bold move at giving this team idea a shot. So aside from all talk and BS let's do this!

Let's start by getting one thing straight ( Without sounding trollish ) if you think you can help say your skills what's the worse that can happen even if your just good at init.d scripting or various other tweaks say it!! Another don't post "if you need a tester pick me" I think for a change we should post all progress updates and let everyone test and not pick favorites.

So who's down people I'm buying a new rig this weekend with 10gb ram 4.1GHZ 6 core AMD phenom CPU so theres not to much I really can't do.

Let the games begin.

I'm all in

I can do mild theming, I can rock the updater-script, some init.d scripting, general speed optimizations, build.prop tweaking, .apk integration and so on. There's more, but I'm still at work after 14 hours and no near end in sight, so I seriously can't think right now lol

I like your "transparent development" model, and think it'll be great to have everyone along for this ride. Reminds me of the old Shinjitsu days, when I'd read this forum every night to see what groundbreaking things Shin did to his creation that day. :)

BTW, we should bring Tigatron on board to optimize the .apks for size. He does an awesome job at that :)

Oh... and dibs on formatting and installing the boot screens since I made the tool for it! :D

We have been debating this for awhile guys why not do it?

Well like I said when the whole topic came up before...I'm in but it'll have to wait till things settle down at work. I've been pulling 60-70 hours a week and those hours have been all over the place days, nights, etc. There's supposedly a promotion in the works that'll have me down to about 10 hours a day and home in the evening...but we've gotta hire more drivers to fill my current position as well as two others before we can finalize things.

As far as my skill set...don't really know what to say other than I've spent the past year building a fairly though knowledge of android and Linux. I believe I've become fairly proficient with shell scripting and will be branching into Java and C as time allows.

I'm starting on it. I'm going to remod sysui that I have built to be more user friendly (ie quick panel back at the top above jb notifications panel. I will try to have this done by Monday night.

I think the best idea too get this rolling would be to take the parts of our current individual roms and piece them together so as not to have to start from scratch.

We should decide which kernel we want to use to start. Alien or glitch?

I looked through this thread and it looked like people wanted to do a team Rom but there was no initiative.

I'm going to make the initiative happen.

If you are interested simply post with an "aye". And what you think you can contribute.

We will get a collective census of who is willing. By Monday night we will know who ifs involved.

From this point I think we can make weekly deadlines. Try to make the project take no more than a month and then weekl for beta testing.

If we can't get more than three devs and a themer involved by Monday with a for sure confirmation then we will simply skip the project.

Fair enough? This is a great way to get a nice pool of ideas going and distribute the workload shop that their isn't too much of a demand and it can be done in our leisure time yet pull off a team Rom rather quickly.
