Evo V Official Jellybean Update News Real?

From what I am seeing/hearing, HTC has an internal Q&A/FAQ about Jelly Bean updates that the Twitter account Football4PDA leaked. The requirements for JB and the year of release help determind if a phone will even be considered for the upgrade. The phone must have more than 512MB RAM to run JB, and those phones released last year (2012) will be considered first. That means our phone, the Evo V 4G will be considered, not that we will receive it.

I just checked the source code section of the htcdev.com website and the download is available for the VM version, including the changes made in the OTA. It's listed under Sprint as the carrier and Evo 3D as the device, but the 1.14.652.0 build number matches the VM OTA version, and the build below it is the 2.89.651.2 Sprint ICS version.

Unfortunately, those source downloads don't include the pieces HTC considers proprietary, including 3D and WiMax 4G, but at least there is source code available for the Evo V 4G. ;)

What do you mean by proprietary source code? The og evo has 4g working on a few roms.
Are the no roms for the evo v with 4g or 3d working?

It is said that a picture is worth a tousand words. The question then becomes does my thousand words match the thousand words that the artist had in mind? Having the source code means you are able to check and see how your ideas compare to the original, without having to reinvent the wheel.

My phone is stock, and I live in an area without WiMax, so I am not 100% sure, yet it looks as both 3D and 4G are working in some form. It might be like saying we have a Model T Ford while HTC has a Mustang GT - one is a bit more elegant, and gets you there quicker and in more comfort.
