Root Are there any JB Sense roms?

I do like the AOSP/KP "pure android" style roms but I haven't seen any that have all the little features that I like about sense. (phone call goes to speaker when placed face down, those types of things) So I'm trying to find out if such a thing exists as a JB/sense rom. I don't need sense 4.0, the one that is on the stock evo is fine. I do need all the features working, I'll let 3d cam slide but everything else has to be there. Seems like all the JB roms are senseless, is this true? thanks

There are JB Sense ROM's, but none for this device yet.

If you don't need Sense 4+, then you don't need Jelly Bean and there are plenty of ICS based Sense 3.6 ROM's here and on XDA that would meet your requirements, and also some ICS ROM's like Viper3D that have Sense 4.1, but the 3D camera and WiMax 4G are broken. AFAIK, there's not really anything in between for Sense based ROM's.

I do like google now but it seems to work better on a jb rom as opposed to ics. Maybe I'll try some other ics roms and see if I have better luck. I also like the increased ui smoothness of jb, so that's why I'd prefer that.

Lol, I only want the animations of JB, especially the screen off TV looking animation, I love that.. But I love my sense too since im too used to it

Google Now was designed for JB and had to be hacked to run at all on ICS. There are some developers on XDA that are trying to port JB/Sense 4+ ROM's from other devices but have not been successful yet so it's hard to say what will and won't work once those are ready for testing.

You could also try the "de-Sensed" ROM's that use other launchers, widgets and mods to simulate the look and feel of the AOSP based ROM's. The one I am most familiar with is the SOS M ROM on XDA, but there may be some here as well.

I've actually been using launchers that replicate the vanilla android look (at least on the home screen). Holo, apex, etc. I guess I was under the impression that "de-sensed" meant ALL of sense was removed, not just the look. I'm fine with losing the sense look, it's the sense features I end up missing. Like that cool screensaver where all your pictures fly around and one at a time fly in for a close up. Or the pop up on the lock screen when I get a text. (I think that one can be replicated by some apps but you get the idea)

One does not simply Not Need Jelly Bean.....
Sorry, but I'm a little confused by the double negatives.

Since they would cancel out are you saying that Jelly Bean is needed? I'm interested in your opinion on this, just not clear what it is.

I'm guessing you are saying "One simply does not need Jelly Bean" but just wanted to make sure.

I'm all for a Jelly Bean Sense infact I think it would extend the Shelf life of the Evo V

What do you see as the advantages to the user of an HTC version of Jelly Bean on the Evo V? From what I've seen so far JB is an incremental upgrade to ICS versus the more significant changes coming with Key Lime Pie. "Need" is subjective, but I see no major shortcomings for Ice Cream Sandwich on the Evo 3D/V, especially since all its features are fully supported. Given the requirements stated by the OP I don't see the "need" for Jelly Bean, especially for an HTC ROM where Sense is much more visible than the underlying Android version. Sense 4.x is more significant to the end user than Jelly Bean and he said he didn't care about that.

And what do you see as the business case for Sprint (Virgin Mobile USA is their subsidiary) to upgrade the Evo V when newer HTC devices that ship with Jelly Bean are coming that they can sell for more money? They are more driven by the bottom line than user goodwill.

I just don't see how the benefit to the user or Sprint/VM would be enough to justify the resources to support 3D features in Jelly Bean, and users would complain if they weren't. It would definitely be easier for developers to build JB/Sense 4+ based ROM's for the Evo 3D/V if HTC/Sprint released an official version, but I just can't see them doing that.

I can agree with this. I wonder how Trib and them are doing with JB sense...? I haven't checked that thread in a while.
Nothing new for a while. And newtoroot seems to be stuck using the Evo 4G LTE JB/Sense 4+ RUU as a base for the HTC Rezound ROM he's been working on.

I will install an official JB/Sense 4+ update if it becomes available for the Evo 3D/V, but don't see why we "need" it and would be very surprised if HTC/Sprint/VM are committed to delivering it.

As soon as the developers are able to get a port from another device working I will definitely be interested in trying it to see how it runs compares to ICS on the Evo 3D/V. The initial releases on other devices have had some issues.

Well, since teh choo-choo of thought has been de-railed already...will a 64gb work? I was reading that it wouldn't. o_O
Yes it does, even though the Evo 3D/V specs specify 32GB max, as long as you format it as FAT32. I would recommend buying from a source other than eBay unless you can confirm the seller as 100% reliable since a number of fake SD cards are sold there. Amazon is usually a good source.

Amazon is your best bet, and yes Mobster Rom 4.5 HD would be the S***

Lol, I only want the animations of JB, especially the screen off TV looking animation, I love that.. But I love my sense too since im too used to it

The CRT TV screen off animation has actually been in android since Gingerbread and can be enabled on Sense based roms, including those running ICS.

A simple Google search provides a how-to: [DEV] Enabling CRT ON & OFF Animation in Roms [HOW-TO] - Development - RootzWiki

I provide no support, just a link. However I can confirm this works with the stock rom and Midnightrom.
