Hello All!

This is the error message I get when I try to add music to my SD card on my Verizon Galaxy S3.

imgur [dot com] /AmhcO (sorry to break it like that - can't post the lnk otherwise!)

I already tried formatting the card. I have Camera set to save pics to SD and they've been saving fine, and can be transferred to my computer or uploaded to FB/other apps just fine. Music transfers from computer to device internal memory and plays with no issues. Strangely, if I click the "try again" option about a billion times it will occasionally let one or two random songs transfer.

Any idea what's going on???

Thanks!
~M

Are you saving it to the internal sd card or external (if you have one inserted)
Perhaps create a folder named "music" and drop it in that.
Do you have another folder named "Music" at all?

btw, Welcome to the forums:)

I'm trying to transfer the files to a removable micro SD card that is inside the phone (It's a 16GB Sandisk). There is no music folder and I didn't create one because I'd seen on a few other forums that you can just drag-and-drop and it automatically creates one for you. Is that not the case?

I happened upon a forgotten Kingston Micro SD (2GB) in an old mp3 player. Tried it out and music transferred to that card just fine. I'm going to try to move all my pictures off the 16GB, onto the 2GB, then I'll reformat the 16GB (cuz hey, why the heck not!) and then try xferring music again. Beyond that I'm stumped!

And thanks for the welcome. =]

I'm just using the phone's format option under Settings-->Storage. What's FAT32?

*suspects she's in wayyyy over her head*

Don't know how to answer that, as I just know that's how it is supposed to be formatted to....
I highly recommend this program to format your card via the computer.

https://www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter_3/

It's really easy and quick. I used it to format my 32GB class 10 card out of my old phone before I put it in my SGS3.

Thanks for the rec. I'm cooking dinner while doing the reformat/relocate/retry juggling act, so I haven't finished yet. If that doesn't work I'll try that program. Thanks!

Is it relevant to mention that when I put the troublesome 16GB card in my computer I get a prompt asking if I want to scan for errors? I ignored it so I could carry on the juggling act but..... x[
