I don't know what I hit to make this show up but on my app screens at the header I have "Apps" and next to it "Widgets"..and also an arrow down symbol.

I never noticed this here before...how do I remove it?

it sets above the apps and below the time and battery header.

Any idea??

From what you describe it sounds exactly like this:

Which is the standard app draw. What launcher are you using?

yep!,,thats what I have going on...and I do not know what "launcher" I am using..I'm a new S3 user..still trying to figure the phone out.

Its been there the whole time you just havent noticed it before :p

A launcher is a 'skin' that sits over Android that allows it to look and feel different to vanilla android. Samsung use TouchWiz, whereas HTC use Sense etc. You can get different ones from the Play store which can change the way your home and app draw screens look and act.
