Hi guys, did everyone else get this app automatically installed alongside the Jellybean update?

I think this may be what's killing my battery, i've just disabled it, it wouldn't let me uninstall it for some reason. So we will see what happens now! Has anyone else had any problems with this app?

Thanks :)

Hey Rik I didn't get Lookout along with JB update. Are you in UK? I did get some app called Rescue after 4.0.4 update previously. Never used it. Nothing with JB though.
From what I know Lookout is actually a decent app? If it's the official one?

Hi wattsy i didn't install the app so i can only assume it came along with JB? It's deffo the official one. It doesn't look like it's worked my battery is still rhubarb!

Looks like it'll have to be a factory reset, *sigh* life wasn't this difficult with my old Sony erricsson phone.

Are you unbranded Rik? If no, it might be one of those apps your carrier adds?

Lookout's generally ok, I've been running it most of my devices for a while with no issue.

What do you need backed up before the reset btw?

Hi pres, good point i'm orange branded using 3 network so it was probably added by orange.

Regarding the factory reset, do i need to tick the box that says "erase all data" i.e music pictures etc. Obviously it would be easier if i didn't delete all that stuff.
Could i leave that un-ticked and just press on "reset phone"

I've uploaded all my pictures to dropbox so its just my music really, but im guessing i can just get them back from my gmail accnt as i got my albums from 7 digital so the receipts are there. As for my apps i can just get them from "my apps" on the play store can't i?

Thanks :)

The pics are on a separate partition, no need to delete them unless you want a complete fresh start (it's not required though, the standard reset should be fine) :).

I can't remember exactly what the options are on the stock ROM, I think it's just Security -> Factory Reset? You could do it via the bootloader though.

Yeah, your apps should restore themselves when you link to the same gmail account. You want to back up contacts or SMS though?

My contacts should be saved to my sim i think, well i imported them from my sim onto my HOX anyway. Regarding the sms yeah i suppose it would be handy? What's the best way to do that?
