Get a free Flip Cover and NFC Tectiles by registering it with Samsung

Got my Mint one today, along with TecTiles. The case itself is garbage. Sorry guys, but it offers zero protection if you drop the phone and very annoying every time you need to flip it open or hold it open to take a picture. I know some bought it and loving it, so this is just my humble opinion. I only got it cause it came for free. Now, with TecTiles - I can't wait to start having fun around the house!!! Now its time to enable NFC on my N2 and Nexus7 :)

Tbh I don't think the flip cover is intended to protect, it just looks the part and it does look good. I only put mine in the flip cover if I'm going out to dinner etc where I ain't going to need access to it much (also to show it off lol)
1st thing I did was get some protection so I wrapped my Note 2 in a condom;)

Here is what mine looks like. Of course, I do realize it was not intended for drop protection, but rather to make it look good/formal and give you a bit of an extra grip.

Honestly, I have no use for it, but TecTiles should come handy!

If you want a couple more free NFC tags you can download NFC Task Launcher by Tagstand from the market and there will be instructions when you open the app on how to use twitter to get 2 free NFC tags. I think the ones they send are NTAG203 tags which have less storage space than the TecTiles from Samsung (Samsung uses MiFare Classic 1k tags) but MiFare tags aren't going to be supported with all NFC enabled phones in the future, and NTAG203 tags will.

Yep, I saw that offer for free Tags as well. As a matter of fact, they sell them in a pack and it's a lot cheaper than Samsung ones. They even offer a version you can stick on a metal.

I played around with one of the tags, but haven't come up with anything useful for my needs. I thought to add it to my car mount since I typically use it as my main NAV to/from work, but there is no smart logic to look at your current location to determine if you are at home and need to pull up directions to work, and vise verse. I wish there would be more flexibility to program these tags with some conditional logic/if statements. Like for example, you swipe it to turn something on, but if its already on - I want to turn it off. Is there such NFC programming tool?

I did the tweet but don't know how to get the tags. BTW I had to open a tweet account as I had never tweeted before so I am completely new to tweeting and NFC tags. Should I get an email or something?

Never mind I searched for Tagstand and they had a post thanking for tweeting and a link to give them my address so they could send them to me.

Go my care package on Monday. An orange flip cover case with a pack of Tec tiles.

Case is wonderful. Tec tiles are okay but haven't figured out a really good use for them. So far I have one tile stuck on the backside of my leather keyfob to switch to cat profile and launch Waze.

Now I'm thinking of getting the line green cover. The Orange is nice but not as deep orange as I imagined. Still quite orange..

Maybe someone wanna trade?
