My GPS doesn't work with this ROM. I would post in the xda forum but don't have enough posts to ask there. Can anybody help or is this just not working in this ROM?

its an aosp thing very similar to aosp for the og evo back in the day.

so here is what you do:

    1. go back to sense rom(make a nandroid backup first)
    2. download msl reader(play store), run msl reader and write it down,
    3. go to dialer and dial ##GPSCLRX#, enter msl that you wrote down, the phone will reboot
    4. open navigation and enter an address and wait until you get a lock.
    5. it does not hurt if you test the gps out in the wild. if not then go ahead and reflash your rom or nandroid restore back.

if it does not work after a nandroid restore then try the process again and re-flash the rom instead of restoring back to it.

This did not work. I followed the steps exactly both doing the restore and reflash; no luck. I never even see the GPS icon with the flashing bars come on, yet it is enabled.

When you get back to your rom, open google search>go to settings>go to privacy and accounts>go to google location settings> let google apps access your location on>exit app>go to system settings>go to location access>turn on access to my location> gps satellites>and finally wifi and mobile network location.

I found this fix in another aosp rom thread over at xda.

Do you ever see a circle? That is the gps icon for sense ROMs. Not sure of its all of them but it is for cm10.

For GPS i always flash to sense, get a location lock in maps, and while on that screen i reboot to recovery and wipe everything, then flash my aosp ROM.
