I have messed my phone up yet again..i was trying to flash a rom..and i must have done something wrong..now i have no roms on my phone..they have all been erased..even the stock rom..everything is just empty..i am able to get into clockworkmod recovery..what do i need to do?..can i use a recovery zip or something?

Can you tell us what rom did you flash and what steps did you take?

If you flased a 4.2 rom (cm10.1, liquid smooth, bb7) then your backups and stuff were moved. It is now in the data/media folder. 4.2 created new folder called the "0' folder.

Plug your phone into a computer and copy the backup from data/media over to the 0 folder. Then restore in recovery

Edit: This is my 100th times saying this on here. I HATE that 4.2 messes with those files.

ty u guys all for responding..like artioteclint said..my files were moved..so i was able to restore a rom..but many of my backups have dissappeared for whatever reason..originally i was trying to flash uscellular's bb7..which only but my phone into bootloop..i kept trying to reflash with different gapps cause i wasnt sure which ones to use..at one point..i went into recovery..did a factory reset and reboot..this is when my problem started..atleast thats when i realized that nuttin with is my download file in recovery anymore..i have since restored aokp which i dont use..but atleast im able to set my phone back up again..i find it strange that i cycle through about 4 or 5 different backups..there now all gone..everything i never use..meaning roms and different kernels are all here..but idk..

anyway..im able to set my phone up again..but my question now is..are my downloads and backups always gonna be in that system/0/0 folder?

First update your recovery. You're running an old one is why you have two 0 folders. (and they will keep multiplying if you don't update) just update in rom manager.

Now, nothing should have been deleted. They all moved, just gotta find them. Lol

The zero folder is a part of 4.2 roms. It's a multiuser thing. Second user profile will be labled as 1. Dumb as hell because who shares phone right? Lol anyways you will alway have it if u want to use 4.2 android. It's your new internal storage.

If I may put in a coupla words of advice. Read everything first before you flash anything, especially if your trying to flash from another carrier smh.

if you read up on uscellular's bb7..its the same process we have for our roms..no special instructions..besides swap out a folder to get data..but i never got that far..when it came time for me to sign into gmail..it would just force close and bootloop

There should'nt have been any problems with bb7. It flashes over with no modification. I think the problem happened when he panic because the initial boot up took longer than usual.(which is normal in fresh installs) that's when he went back into recovery and started doing all kinds of things.

Have you tested call volume on bb7?

Oh that sounds like you flashed the wrong gapps. You needed 4.2. I think the lable for it was 1212.

next time just reboot into recovery, wipe cache and dalvik and flash the right one.

when i try it it says no files found and its in system/0/0/clockworkmod/backup

see if they show up in a file manager once you boot up if they due try moving out of the double 0 folder and into system/0/clockworkmod/backup or just system/clockworkmod/backup or try using twrp it is alot more user friendly IMO
