heyandroidhey: will the optimus l9 be upgraded to jelly bean lg live chat person : certainly the phone was manufactured in a way that would allow for it to upgrade to the lastest android operating system version, but the plans to release the actual upgrade have not been finalized as of yet and we have ne further information on the matter as of now.

Considering you own a Nexus 4 and didn't even know that the Galaxy SII has had an upgrade to Ice Cream Sandwich I'm going to take your "word" with a grain of salt.

Check LGs track record on upgrades (The Optimus G just got it last time I checked.)

Versions of the G2x have gotten 2 upgrades. First to Gingerbread then to Ice Cream Sandwich. Also I believe the original Optimus line might of had at least one upgrade which was a budget phone. They seem to give at least one upgrade per device. I think that is something Google requires them to do. If you can name a LG phone that hasn't had at least one upgrade that would be helpful. Remember the Optimus G has only been out for 4 months. No one is making updates faster for phones then a 6 month period. So yeah updates might be slow but they always happen at least once.

LG Motion is less then 6 months old and already has Ice Cream Sandwich. Most high end phones wait a year for an update let alone a budget one. So unless you can show me a phone that is a year old that has never received an update then I'm dead sure you will see one on the Motion.

Don't know where OP is but whatever. Anyway I'm just being realistic even though I sell phones for a living and I've personally recommended and sold this phone several times in the past few days.
