I've been scavenging the internet for days after getting my new LG Motion. I can't be the only one with this problem, but it seems to not be mentioned anywhere. I don't care about moving apps to my sd card. I want to put MUSIC on my sd card. I created a folder called photos and put pictures in there, THAT worked, but when I tried moving my music to the card, it said something about not being able to play the file.

After moving the files, either unmount and mount the sdcard or reboot the phone and let it rescan the sd.

You should have a Music directory on your SD Card after you install it to your LG Motion and connect it to your PC

You can then drag and drop your MP3's to your Music Directory on your SD Card.

1) Connect your LG Motion to your PC via USB Cable.
2) Go into "Settings" on your LG and select "Connectivity"
3) Tick the "Ask on Connection" checkbox.
4) Select "USB Connection Type"
5) Select "Media Sync" (MTP) radio button.
6) You should see the "Connecting" dialog box pop-up on your LG
7) Wait for it to finish. If it takes more than a minute or two, back out of the Settings menu.
8) Open the "My Computer" Icon on your PC's Desktop - You should see your LG Motion listed as "MTP Device" along with "MTP Camera" in the correct category in the "My Computer" window and you should be able to access your "Music" directory on either your "Internal Storage" or "SD card" and drag and drop your music or try to Sync with WMP - I just dragged and dropped my MP3's into my "Music" directory on my SD card.

Here's the path statement for my MP3's:
C:\My Computer\MTP Device\SD Card\Mobile\Music

I can also drag & drop MP3's into the "ringtone" directory" so I can have ringtones using my MP3's and even assigning certain ringtones to specific callers in my "Contacts" list.

C:\My Computer\MTP Device\Internal Storage\Ringtones

BTW, I didn't check "USB Debugging" under "Dev Options" on my phone when I connect to my PC

It's always been connected as MTP.. but here's all that shows up. I've even tried erasing the sd card from the phones settings..

All that shows up on my sd card...

also, I was never prompted to do anything by the computer other than drivers auto installing from plugging the phone in via USB

If you double click that ms770 it will give you the choice of internal sd or sdcard, pick sdcard and put them in there.

OHMYGOSH GUYS.

I'm so embarrassed. I don't know how I didn't just automatically go "oh, shut up windows, you don't know what you're talking about" as usual.

I saw this, instantly stopped and gave up and went to look for answers. I was expecting it to create folders for me like my last Android (samsung admire.. ew), but I actually like creating my own anyway.. So.. All that frustration for nothing. :stupid:

Goodness. This says something about the way go about life. I don't need to re-think my phone, I need to re-think my life. :hmmmm: :p
