So today was the day that I dropped my phone and the screen shattered. I am still grandfathered in to Verizon's unlimited data plan with my HTC Droid Incredible 2 (3G) and am not eligible for a new every 2 until May. Since I'm still perfectly happy with my "old school" 3G Droid, I would love to just replace it with the same phone without having to change my plan. Is this possible?
I see used phones on Ebay listed at 99 cents that just don't have the SD card. Can I just buy one is move my SD card over? Is there a SIM card too and/or would I need to contact Verizon/would they let me do this?
I saw Costco has the phone on closeout for a penny, but it's online only and when you put it in you cart it requires you to switch to a limited data plan and renew your contract.
I do have an email into HTC to see the cost of just replacing my screen, but I imagine that it isn't cheap so am exploring other options. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
