Root windows phone 7 mango

Using the LEWA port now...a few notes
1) I'm not getting any signal so I can't test the dialer or SMS (although SMS app has an option for split so that's a good sign)
2) I tested overclocking, seems to allow and work well
3) hi-res games like temple run work without lag
4) average wifi download speeds
5) overall runs pretty smooth and looks like a good start

Ah crap so its not getting signal well I guess I gotta try and find a fix for that. So last time just so I got this str8 you in a spot that you would originally get signal but since you installed the ROM its not getting any signal? I wanna be 100% sure cause I don't wanna go trying to fix it if its just you in a spot with originally no signal

The windows 7 ROM I haven't even went back to that yet. But last time I tried it it got all the way to lighting up the charging light and lighting the soft keys. Then it just start over. Idk if I get it working I work on music for people so I gotta balance that. If I can get it to turn on then I will let yal test it. Imma try and take a picture of it on boot animation tomorrow so yal can see

If you put in the leg work, people will help out. Don't worry about releasing an unfinished project, just give it an alpha tag. Alpha means almost nothing works and should be a warning to anybody who tries it, beta is when it is basically finished but not fully working.

Remember to give clear warnings that things don't work and don't post something that you haven't tried yet, or may damage somebody's device.

We all help out around here, so if you have a question just ask. First thing you need to do is make a mediafire account or similar so you can post your logcat and anything else you want to share. I know I am interested in seeing windows phone on our device, I'm sure others are too. There are a lot of people around here that know things about the Triumph that most other phone owners would never know about their phones ... from tracking down issues. :D

EDIT: Looking at the logcat it looks like you just used the CM7 kernel for the ROM. You may need to do some work on the boot.img to get it working right. You should probably post a link to the base ROM that you are working with, so we can help better.

Alright I will do that tomorrow. But It was some small lg phone I think. And I no I probably should have tried to find a phone about the same size as our phone. Is there anyway to change the overall size of the ROM? But tomorrow I'll post a link to the base im using
The size of the phone shouldn't matter, our kernel should take care of most of that stuff, but it still may not be compatible in other areas. The size of the ROM is just what is inside the system folder, in the zip. I haven't looked at a windows system so I couldn't tell you specifically what can or can not be deleted. I'm sure you can find a few things to delete, mainly apps.

Strange thing happen....I figured i would just edit the boot animation but it booted all the way up into a gingerbread ROM not windows 7. Well actually it just had the gingerbread notification bar and that was it nothing else .man this is some confusing stuff to a noob like me. But this is the boot animation I took the pic tonight so sorry about the light. Hopefully this will hold you guys for awhile until I start understanding more
