I was looking into trying out ubuntu on the TU for fun, but I was wondering if anyone else has given it a shot and what was their experience with it? Was it working smooth or is it even worth it? Seems like the TU passes the prereqs for installing except I dunno if bobzhome's kernel has "support for loop devices," which seems to be important. :stupido2:

Awesome man, thanks, I didn't search for it correctly last night. :p

I wouldn't have time these days to port it but I would certainly help.
No bobzhome's kernel does not support loop devices as far as know. Unless bloodawn added support for it in his edited version.

That would be great, but I probably wouldn't have enough knowledge to port it over. That's a project for someone who knows how to do that, even though I would try to help out. The thing I was mentioning actually seems to just be a way to install it on the sd card and run it off the intact android system.

Bump :p

Has anyone else given it a try? If not, then I'll just give it a go and post my results.
