Am I the only person who hasn't gotten the Update notification from VZW?

I haven't received mine for my personal droid. My wife received hers on Mon or Tuesday. I did the forced update, but I'm still waiting on the notification of the "official" notification.

You won't get an "official" notification. It will already know that you have it.

No you are the only one that hasn't read the 200 threads about self updating. You know how the rest of the world had to update, THEY DOWNLOADED IT FROM MOTOROLA AND INSTALLED THEMSELVES. So stop being lazy and install it,its the the same official freaking update like you'd download from moto so just do it already.

Relax LegacyStar...take a deep breath and relax. Though the Droid is a phone that caters to the tech savvy, not everyone is comfortable with force updating (even with Trident's step by step guide) just like everyone is not comfortable rooting.

We're all adults here (for the most part), so act like one. It's totally respectable that he doesn't want to force the update. It's just that your ranting and bantering isn't helping one bit. what really bugs me are people that can't read the forums and figure stuff out for themsleves. this forum gets cluttered so much with people asking the same question over and over in new threads. threads of the same type just appearing under threads of the same topic right above it. it's just getting rediculous. it's not like this update thing has not been discussed a million times.

if you haven't gotten your update keep waiting or install it yourself, but don't make yet another thread talking about this.

I have a coworker who has a droid. I asked her if she got the update she told me she gets updates all the time. I said this is different and she was adamant she got lots of them. I tried to explain what the update was. I gave up. Friday she brought me her phone upset her screen wouldn't turn on. Well her battery was almost dead, I charged it and low and behold guess what showed up the update (so she got hers on 4/9) I waited for her to show her the difference. There are people out there who there is no way they could do the update manually.
