Hey all-

Quick question....I searched around and found that you can add multiple gmail accounts (which I already knew) but I was curious if you can only use one at a time for actually putting the apps on the phone? Hope that makes sense?

Basically, what I was wanting to do is create / add a gmail account (misc app gmail account) and then add to my phone as well as my wife's phone so we only have to pay for apps once. But will I then be able to use the apps on my personal gmail email account as well or can you use only one at a time?

Thanks....

I've a similar arrangement with Mrs Presidente :)

When there's 2 accounts added to a phone, open Play, then hit menu -> accounts and you'll be prompted which account you want to download apps etc with. If you do that on both handsets, stuff you bought on one will be available on the other.

If you want to add an app to your account and your account only, just switch back using the method above.

Make sense?

Thank you very much...yes it makes sense:)

The only thing I was confused about was whether or not you could switch back to your own individual account and not have the apps you download disappear? I think the Amazon app store works like that...basically you can't have apps from two different account on the phone...they will only let you do one or the other. I wanted to see if it was the same way with Google Play.

I will attempt to mess around with it later on this evening myself...I will just use my wife's gmail account and put that on my phone and see if it still lets me keep all my same apps that I have previously downloaded from my own gmail account.

Hope I am making sense with my questions....?

Thanks for your help...
