Anyone know anything about this? "There will be a voicemail system update to a new system starting. All CDMA customers will be sent two broadcast messages when calling in to their voicemail: to advise them of the upcoming migration and the completion of the migration. Not all customers will be migrated at the same time. The migration will be in phases." ^Kimberly H

yes but out phones do not work on the iDEN network. If you had a boost phone on the iDEN network, you were already on a completely different Voicemail system. The iDEN network is being phased out, and eventually will be dead. Nextel was bought out by Sprint. I never understood this seeing as the two networks aren't compatible. The one phone they had that used both (the Motorola Buzz) looked at two towers all the time and thus had terrible battery life. Boost doesn't even sell iDEN phones on their website anymore. Clearwire provides our 4g, but 3g is comming from Sprint. Sprint owns controlling interest in Clearwire anyway.

Sprint is in the process of buying out Clearwire completely and there is a Japanese company that is negotiating a deal to buy out Sprint lol! As Boost is a wholly owned subsidiary of Sprint I hope we dont get screwed over!

I don't think we would get screwed, Boost does bring in a good amount of income. The little Prevail was one of Samsung's most popular phones, so Boost got a lot of customers from it. The prepaid market is the fastest growing sector of the cellular industry.

That's a cool tidbit of info. I know you came from the prevail as I did as well and though that was a hip little phone, but I wasn't aware it had that much popularity! Interesting.

Surprisingly enuough the Prevail was one of the major phones in the Apple lawsuits.

Even though it was not powerful it sold millions and Apple saw it as a direct copy of the iPhone..

I can't believe what you guys are telling me. Never knew it was THAT popular. The humble little Prevail; who knew? I do have to say, right before the Prevail came out, I was_this_close to leaving Boost iso a (contract) carrier that offered Androids. Prevail came out and kept me on Boost & I've been a huge fan of pre paid ever since.

Sorry for the hijack Krowbar, Codegerm tends to invoke my ADD on these forums quite often!

I found that hilarious too. Who in their right mind would mistake a Prevail for an iPhone?! LOL I guess only Apple is allowed to make rounded corner rectangles....

There was a thread in the prevail section, I was a prevail owner myself. It was in the top 5 phones to be banned.
