How to remove Goggle Play Services permanently?

My HTC Wildfire S phone has a pityfully small memory and to keep the device servicable I install or update only applications I really need. Google Play Services is one I can certainly do without, never wanted it in the first place, so I removed it. But it keeps coming back, though automatic update is off! So I remove it, and remove it, etc....
How can I get rid of Google Play Services forever?

First, being new to the forum if I'm posting in the wrong place, please move accordingly.

I have a brand new Nexus 7. Running Android ver: 4.2.x

When I downloaded a few Apps from Google Play all went well. Apps work fine no problem.

Then the next day when I booted up, I got two error messages, both the same. "Invalid package file", appeared in the upper left pull down notification area.

The Apps are Flipboard, and Dropbox. While they are working well the error messages persist.

Upon searching Google, this appears to be a frequent problem for many users. There's a huge number of suggestions as to fixing this, yet I've yet to find one that works for me. This also seems to be a prevalent problem.

Any & all help us greatly appreciated.
