im about to upgrade from the org razr which i love, i got 11/11/11 and im looking at a few phones.

razr maxx hd for the battery life

razr hd since its almost double the battery life of the current razr and basically the same phone

dna for the screen, jellybean and i LOVE htc phones.

m7 because i heard its going to be "the phone"

my issue is, the DNA has the same battery life of the razr while on 4g and i cant stand it! is the m7 going to be better? has anyone had battery issues with the dna? theres no threads about it...

i dont use the phone 24/7 but i cant tell you how many times ive gone out at night, stayed at someone elses house and woke up to a dead phone... or how many times ive gone out and throughout the night noticed how low the battery is...

choices choices.... thanks!

I have the DNA and came from the Razr Maxx prior.

I absolutely loved my Razr Maxx but it doesn't come close to the DNA. Yes, the Maxx battery was huge, but I have no issues with battery on the DNA. I think you'll see most people post about the DNA battery saying it lasts much longer than they expected given its size.

At any rate, the M7 will be a fanastic phone, sure. But, personally, I don't know enough about it or it's release dates to feel comfortable waiting on it over the DNA which is the best phone I've owned, hands down. If you go by the pictures that have leaked (given they're leaked images) there's extra unnecessary bezel and spacing below the buttons which, by the way, are "out of order" for those of us who have gotten used to them.

Personally, I wouldn't want to go back to a 4.7" device having been using a 5.0" and I wouldn't even entertain the idea of going back to a 4.3" found on the Razr HD.

DNA --> Galaxy S3 --> M7 --> Maxx HD if you want my opinion on the order I'd recommend given what we know now.

the frst phone i LOVED was the incredible, then the thunderbolt... htc does something moto doesnt. im not sure what. while i absolutely love my razr, the "love" is different than the 2 HTC phones i had if that makes sense.

what you said pretty much goes with exactly what i was thinking. if the only real difference is the camera, internal memory and 4.7" screen, the DNA is worth it... ive read a few other reviews saying the same about the battery being better than expected. im going to think long and hard over the next 2 weeks. see how it goes.

thanks.

ya im pretty sure im gonna go with the DNA in a few weeks when im eligible for the early upgrade. i miss my HTC!!!

I had the razr and the galaxy s3 and the dna is by most accounts similar to the s3 in terms of battery life. the dna should get at least another hour of screen on time compared to the razr...it won't be anywhere near the maxx but if you've dealt with the og razr for a while you shouldn't have a problem with the dna

i had to pay an extra $30, all in all it cost $243 including tax but i ordered the DNA, will have it some time tuesday. super excited, hopefully it works out!!
