Root Theming Questions...

Hello everyone, I want to make some themes for the Motion, but I am more used to Gingerbread as far as theming goes. Could someone tell me how different Gingerbread SystemUI and Framework-res is to ICS? As in battery icons, etc, etc.

Other than the battery icons being in the systemUI.apk I believe it's the same principle except that ICS has more icons to change. Good Luck theming

Theming has begun! Mind you I'm trying to make CM10/10.1, the Motion 4G Toolbox app, and make a ROM for the Admire at the same time. Plus school and all that shyte. So this may take some time Wish meh luck!

In UOT Kitchen, do you only need to upload the systemUI.apk ? or both systemUI.apk and framework-res.apk? i want to change the battery icon but i dont want to mess with it for i do not know this part. i have used uot kitchen btw and flashed on my old phone but am stuck because i dont know about the gingerbread/froyo mumbo jumbo. they dont mention ics in the kitchen instructions!

To answer both of your questions, UOT kitchen does work with ICS, you'll need BOTH the systemUI.apk and framework-res.apk. I've used UOT kitchen before and it places extra icons in the wrong place sometimes causing the files to be larger than necessary but the theme works regardless so most people don't notice.
