Switching to T-Mobile which phone should I get?

So I'm thinking about switching to T-Mobile's $70 unlimited prepaid plan, cause I am fed up with virgin mobile and it's slow speeds. But I'm not sure what phone to get.

I use my phone a lot to surf the web, play some games, and watch YouTube. So should I get get the N⁴, GS3, GN2, or something else?

Spec wise, the N4 is the best of the options, but the problem is onboard storage. If that's not an issue for you, go for it. But if you want a bigger local storage, go for either Samsung model. You won't get wrong with either as the specs and capabilities are virtually identical. The only reason to choose one over the other is screen size and the S-Pen.

The 16GB N⁴ won't be a problem cause I use Google Music. But trying to get one is hard I hear.

The Nexus 4 is 300/350 and more acclaimed, but Walmart is still selling the S2 for 300+30 dollar card and it's available. Look at swappa for used stuff. I think I'll wait for the Note 3 to come out and pick up a used Note 2. I played around with all of them today and didn't feel the Nexus 4 and S3 are THAT much better than the S2, especially with the price/hassle involved in getting them.

Eh I'd rather get a S3 instead of a S2.

Most likely will. And it has official CM. Though never had a phone with on screen buttons. Do they get annoying?

You'd be surprised how quickly you get used to them, but I still prefer the hardware ones on my EVO.

I occasionally bump the home button accidentally while typing on my nexus 7. Size could be part of that as well though.

Is there a app to hide it and when you need it again just swipe up? And can you resize it to be smaller?

Not that I'm aware of. Home and swipe up is Google now


As for resizing... Since its software and a nexus I'm sure there would be a way. But by size I was talking about the screen size on the next 7. Typing is kind of awkward on it sometimes and that home button is right under the space bar.


I'll have my gnex back from Samsung next week so I'll let you know how that fares

Definitely the Nexus 4. It's currently available again on Google Play. It really is the best Android to get if you don't require a lot of local storage. Heck, my Nexus S has Jelly Bean. How many phones released around the same time as the Nexus S even got an official ICS update?

Yeah I'm getting a N⁴. May have to wait another 2-3 weeks cause I need to take care of some other stuff first. But yeah storage isn't much a problem. I mean I have Dropbox/Drive.
