Just curious if i were to order from wire fly. Would i activate the phone inside a metro pcs store? And what would become of my current phone that i have with them?

-Thanks

Your current SIM would be de-activated and they would charge you $15.00 to activate your new Spirit phone same as if you bought it from them.

The good news is that if you lose, break or damage your Spirit, you can have them re-activate your old phone, so it might be worth hanging on to, especially with the price of the Motion so low now, as it has little re-sale value.

I would rather keep it for "back-up" then to sell if for $40.00 or whatever market value currently is for a used LG Motion.

I'm going to wait and see what the wirefly price is as well as I'm in California and would have to pay about 9% sales tax on $270.00, plus $15.00 activation fee, so I'm looking at about $313.00 OTD, then a 6 week wait for a $70.00 rebate in the form of a Visa gift card, so I'm looking at about $243.00 after rebate.

Also the rebate expires on March 3rd, so I'm wondering if the price will drop to $199.00 or stay at $269.00 an no rebate?

The Sammy S-4 is due to hit the market in April, so I'm wondering if we will see wirefly deeply discount the S-3 to $300.00 like they did a while back.

If so, I'll spend the extra coin on the S-3 even though I love the LG Motion and would really like it even better with another inch of screen with better screen resolution, but can't really justify spending $300.00+ on it.

If it had an 8MP camera, and 2GB of RAM, I would buy the Spirit today, or if it were priced at $199.00 + tax + activation. (About $233.00, but no wait for a rebate.)

If I didn't pay full price for my LG Motion, I wouldn't mind dropping 3 bills for the Spirit, but I just spent $150.00 + tax + activation for the Motion 3 months ago and it's now worth less than a 1/3rd of that.

Sammyz, maybe drop back 10 and punt until Wirefly gets that ball.

It'd be even nicer to see them come in with about $220-225, no taxes or mandatory activate fee.

Almost 3 large OOP to start with makes my sphincter twitch. :p

Wouldn't a Metro store have to activate a phone purchased from Wirefly?

I'll have to check their web site.

A Deuce and a Quarter shipped and activated would be a more attractive option then what Metro is currently offering.

Misinformation re: Wirefly.

When you order your phone from Wirefly, YOU ACTIVATE IT YOURSELF. For free, too. You dial 611 or whatever and set it up. Do not go into a Metro Store as they will charge you service fees (for their service) and persuade you to buy expensive accessories that you can find for much cheaper on Amazon.

Like a $10 car charger.

I went to my local metroPCS store on Thursday to pick one up and they where out , i tried about 6 resellers in my area just as i was about to give up and order it online i called 1 last place and they had 1 LEFT! i begged the women to hold it for me i would be there in 30 minutes she said ok asked my name and number i went picked it up, let me tell you In december i bought the Biggest Piece of Crap cell phone i have ever owned from Metro, the Coolpad Quattro 4G, man that phone was such a piece of junk, always locked up, was slow, rebooted itself all the time, ugh i hated it, but this Spirit 4G its actually the nicest cell Phone i have ever owned with Metro was going to buy the Galaxy S3 but decided to go for this and dont regret it at all! Great Phone, Fast and very respnsive and has enufff internal memory to install plenty of apps if you want too, the screen is nice and bright, so far have not found anything about it dont like.

I recommend this to anyone that wants a decent and not that costly cell phone with metro.
