I'm not sure if I misread the articles that I have read but I can't find no info about how much RAM the phone comes with, I would like to know if anyone can share that info. Seems to me by the specs it's an upgrade from the LG Esteem and cheaper too, right? And for the price and coming with ICS out of the box, I believe it's worth it, right? I own two Esteems, which have been great as of today, specially my wife's cuz she have drop that phone from every angle and height more then 20 times with no protective cover, I'm not lying, the thing had dents every where, lol, the phone still works great though, in the other hand my phone looks like I got it today. By the way, my experience with LG phones so far has been great, I still have two LG Optimus (the first one not the +) my sons (5 & 10) use them as media devices and of course the two Esteems. Now if the phone comes with at least 1GB of RAM I will definitely go for it, cuz I can buy two of them (one for the wife too, go figure, lol) with the price of the GS3 which I was planning to get until this phone came out. So any info and suggestion will be appreciated. Thanks.

It was mentioned in the other thread here that it has 1 GB, but I can't find the post at the moment.

Thanks, Alfick3. How's it going? I've had read your post since my days at the Optimus section. You think this phone is better than the Esteem. Cuz I think so. Comparing their specs, screen sizes, dual-core, ICS, and if in fact it comes with 1GB among other features that the Esteem doesn't have, it seems a winner to me, what you think?

I'm planning on getting it. I'm not sure about the Esteem, 'cause I have never had it, but just comparing specs it seems to be worth the upgrade. Especially for the price.

I don't know about you, but my Esteem is ready to move on to the next life. It's fulfilled its duty. Now it's time to move on, get some spirit, and get THE Spirit! haha.

But yes, I think the Spirit 4G is a viable investment.

How's it going Andrew? I think so too, that the Esteem is at the end of its life, specially when we talk about staying up-to-date with Android OS. We are going to Key Lime Pie (whatever its going to be called) very soon and we still using Gingerbread on the Esteem, as of today we are 2 OS behind, that's like using Windows Xp or Vista on Windows PC, plus the few specs that the Spirit has over the Esteem and the price makes it very appealing, I'm not that fond of the 5.0MP camera but again for the price is not that bad. I've spend close to $2,000 or more in the last year and a half, between 6 phones, covers, extended batteries, etc. and sitting back and thinking that's a lot of money on phones alone. I've been planning to get the GS3 but that's $1,000 just in the phones, no covers, no extended batteries, etc. I've been cautious about it, specially since they are talking already about the GS4, damn times goes by so fast, lol.

Getting the Spirit would save me money and sooner or later someone can always port or build a Jelly Bean for it and then be up-to-date til KLP comes out, that will be more easy to do than from Gingerbread to ICS or Jelly Bean, plus who knows if the phone could get an update from LG or Metro themselves, right? Rather be one OS behind than 2 or 3 behind, lol. I'm already behind two with the Esteem.
Still I will wait to see what are the reviews on the Spirit.

Thanks for your input.

I read that the MIR is good for purchases made up to and including March 3rd.

Does the price of the Spirit remain at $269.00 after that, or will it drop to $199.00 with no rebate after that?

Or what is Metro's history with MIR's on new model phones as I'm wondering if their MIR history would apply to the Spirit?

In other words, will the Spirit likely be $199.00 with no MIR after March 3rd?

It looks to me that 3/4 is the next date of significance.

PHP87 has some great questions that should be answered then.

I'd think it'll take Wirefly 2-3 weeks to get the Spirit in and get the website ready for it. It kind of makes sense that they would want to see Metro's final price on it before they set theirs.

I did just notice they DO have the Avid for the same price as Metro. Hopefully they'll get the Spirit quickly too and for a better price. I also noticed their price now for the Motion is $89.

What's going in thefuhk? Can you confirm that this phone has 1GB of RAM? It is the only thing that would change my mind not to get this phone meaning that if it is less than 1GB. Another feature that this phone has over the Esteem is that you can browse the internet while on a call. Thanks in advance.

I just bought the Spirit online :D, if it turns out bad.. well learn from me! But hopefully not. haha. Hopefully more eye-candy videos from people who actually have their hands on one.

Congrats! Hope it's a winner, cuz I'm really looking forward to get it too. I just really want to know about the RAM. Keep us inform. I like my Esteem but it's time to move on, just like I did with the Samsung Freeform and the LG Optimus. Good luck.

I'm 99% certain that the Spirit has 1GB of RAM and a 1.5GHz CPU just like the Motion despite the specs stating 1.2Ghz CPU as pretty much every Motion has benchmarked at 1.5GHz.

4GB of ROM and upgradable with a Micro SD card of up to 32GB, so you can get up to 36GB of ROM (Storage) and 1GB of RAM (Memory)

It's basically the same phone as the LG Motion but with a bigger, better resolution screen, USB port is on the bottom of the phone and perhaps a few other enhancements.

I really like it, but I just spent $150+ on the Motion, so I'm going to wait a bit.
