I may have to spend this weekend working.
That means OT, which means 1.5x pay, which means I will be tempted to spend the money on the LG Spirit although logic tells me to wait for the S-3 to drop in price later next month, although that is speculation on my part.

Or I should wait until the Spirit hits wirefly, although that is also speculation, and to see what the OTD price will be.

It's hard to justify spending that much coin for an extra inch of screen, although with reportedly better screen res, but I love the LG Motion and would really love the LG Spirit.

I have a feeling as soon as I buy the LG Spirit, the price on it and the S-3 will both drop.

Has anyone bought/seen an LG Spirit yet and if so, how does the screen res look in comparison to the Motion and to other phones such as the iPhone and the S-3?

I'm trying to get into download mode. Both volume buttons + power gets a factory reset screen (you can also get here with volume down and power). Volume up + power doesn't seem to work either, after both LG logos the screen goes blank for a few seconds then the phone reboots normally. Maybe I'm doing it wrong?

Nope, LG is making it harder to get into download mode :(

Do you mean try the unbrick guide from the factory reset screen? Either way I'm at work and can't try it right now, just getting some clarification. Provided my roommate let's me borrow his laptop in the morning (he can be an ass sometimes) I can test it then.

Cool, also if it starts flashing, you CANNOT stop it, that could result in a perma-brick.

Re: battery life -

I charge my phone overnight, but typically never charge it during the day. It gets unplugged around 7:30 a.m., and gets plugged back in at around 10:30 p.m. In between, its getting used for a few (4-5) calls for something like 30 to 45 minutes of total talk time, plus alot of text messaging and web browsing. The first few days, the battery was down at around 15% when I was plugging it back into its charger at night. After installing JuiceDefender, its more like 30%.

Hey Spdfreak34, how's it going? How's the phone is working for you? Can you tell me how's the battery life? I'm ready to get it today, but would like to know about the battery life. I appreciated. Thanks in advnace.

To me the battery life isn't any worse than it was on my motion. I use my phone a lot and have to take a charger with me to work, but I couldn't get the motion to make it through a work day either. Overall I like the phone. Compared to the motion the screen is absolutely amazing and the phone runs very smooth.

A couple critiques on the camera please?

There seems to be some conflicting info, I've seen YouTubers that said it both sucked and kicked ass.

I haven't taken that many pics with my Motion but my impression is that while the Motion shutter/camera is much more responsive, I think my Droid X takes a better pic.

Camera quality skinny please new Spiriters?

I haven't taken many pictures, and haven't tried messing with the camera settings at all yet, but I'm a little disappointed with the camera so far. Several pictures have come out a bit blurred.

Some other critiques -

The feature where the forward-facing camera is supposed to detect you looking at the screen and keep it lit up doesn't seem to work too well for me. If I'm in a bright room and have my face close to the screen it works. Otherwise, its spotty.

Also, I bought a Class 10 microSD card and the phone didn't recognize it.

But those are minor issues to me. I love the phone so far. One great thing I discovered today: the phone allows a call-recording app to directly access the voice downlink. I tried alot of different call-recording apps with my previous phones and never had one work so well.
