I went "setting"then "about phone" and then "software update".
i pressed "check for update" and then it showed "no update available".For this update i used phone carrier network.i don't used wi-fi.
help me!!
Have you used Samsung KIES and does it result in the same thing?

If you can't use Samsung KIES for some reason, then you'll need to back up all personal data, and manually flash or send your mobile to Samsung Service Center and let them do it for you - if you send to Samsung Service Center, they will most likely erase all private data in upgrading your phone software.

Can i update my phone over the air(OTA)?

Only if your carrier supports OTA updates and providing that there is an update for your CSC code, available.

For full details and a step-by-step guide to checking for firmware updates and flashing them via Kies, OTA or Odin, see posts #1 and #2 of, "ICS... CSC are you eligible for an update?".
