So here I am...I'm leaving and with it I leave the Bionic. I honestly didn't think that it would ever happen until my upgrade time but it has. All because of a nagging signal issue that I thought someone would have a fix for. I even told Verizon that if I didn't have to switch to another phone that I would be happy with that. I still believe that the Bionic is by far one of the best phones out there and one of the best ones I've ever owned.

Anyways, I'm off to the Razr Maxx. So far it's awesome and I like it. I have some questions on it but I'll save those for the proper thread. Thanks everyone for all the help that I was given with my Bionic. I wish I could keep it as a play toy without having to pay the 500 bucks when Verizon doesn't get back the phone. If anyone knows how to fool them please let me know!!

Sorry your signal issues never got worked out - mine ha s worked pretty flawlessly except for a small transition time period when my area first got 4G.

Enjoy your MAXX - at another forum a lady posted her husband's MAXX HD screenshot - single charge and it was going into the end of the third day of (admittedly extremely light) use.

Out of curiosity, are they taking your old BIONIC back? If not, interested in selling it? Connection issues noted...I'm curious if it performs better over here or not....Plus, mine has slight damage to the LCD (not the gorilla glass, the underlying LCD itself) right where the 4G icon usually appears in the notification bar - a small, but noticeable (especially on block backgrounds and while booting) semi circle of damage...

If I could keep it I might entertain the idea of selling it. The wife doesn't want me having anymore electronic play toys in the form of old cell phones. lol BUT, yes they are making me send it back otherwise I will be charged for it. Like I asked earlier if anyone knows of a way to fool them or to even say I sent the phone back and argue with them until they just write it off as a loss I'm all for it. I mean it when I say I want to hang onto the phone for a little longer and mess with it slightly, like ROMS and such. Not mention I really don't want to turn it back to stock before sending it back.

The MAXX is a solid phone so far. I've had it since yesterday and I really like it. I'm trying to be careful with it until I can get a case. I would suggest if anyone has any old android phones that want to sell them because they are tired of playing with them(if that's possible) to look into Gazelle.com because I'm getting 180 bucks for a couple of phones I sold to them.

John, I have a Bionic in great shape (looks almost new) that I would like to sell. Comes with a lot of accessories. PM me if you're interested...

Not to thread jack but ICS on D1??? As in the OG DrOID?

Yes. See http://androidforums.com/droid-roms/598966-droid-altonus-ics-rom.html for ICS and http://androidforums.com/droid-roms...ean-google-now-100-working-three-kernels.html for JB

Yes and I think there is JB for it but I don't know how well it works as my OG droid is being used as a baby monitor. :D

It works quite well for a device that you do not use as a daily anything. In Airplane mode my D1 on Altonus ICS gets 4-5 days per charge. Since I don't connect to the networks for anything useful, it's a bonus in that I get a nice little alarm clock using the Clock Home of ICS. I'm still thinking about other ways to make use of it.

I read today that they are rolling out ICS for the Thunderbolt. I had the Thunderbolt and it was and is an amazing phone. I can't believe it's getting ICS though!

Yeah, rejoice TBolt users - you finally get a decent OS on that great phone!

Good bye fellow Droid Bionic user :( I'm still enjoying mine, I had some recent battery drain, but I think I fixed it so I'm loving my phone again. Especially with the lapdock, I get a lot of use out of it. My school's internet was down last week and I was the only one who stayed connected during the time :D But enjoy your new phone, mate :)

Well, while I might not have any actual service on my Bionic....I got to keep it!! Basically what happened is that I got sent a Bionic by mistake when I should have gotten the M. So I got them to send me the MAXX and sent back the Bionic they sent me along with the M. So I haven't gotten notice to send back the Bionic so I think I'm in the clear. It's been a month! It's my night stand clock at the moment.
