Did boostmobile lowered the speed already?

Hello everyone again!

As all of us know, boostmobile said were going to lower the speed in the middle of january, lower it after 2.5gb usage. I never received a text message informing me of that change.

They say that 2.5gb of data is a hugeeeee amount of data to satisfy hungry data users, which many dont agree including me.

I am not a crazy user, i measured my usage to see if i would have enough data, i realized that half of my data is used by the streaming radio tune in, the rest by the other stuffs.

I am at 1.50gb of usage, and my month ends on monday, i am planning to use the rest to see if it gets and how slow it gets.

I am sure if i watch a movie and have had watched video music i would be over my limit already, so it is not plenty of data as they say.

For me it is enought i guess because i dont watch videos o movies but my radio streaming pulls much of the data

conclusion: Any thoughs about this, did boost applied this lowering speed already????

yes on Jan 25 it went in to effect. you'll get a text at 85% then a text tell you your at 2.5 and there gonna lower it to 256. then when you start over back up to regular speeds.

Since that time my speeds have also been lowered. Very frustrated. Can't get over 5Mbps when right next to a tower. In many places in Salt Lake City, I can't get above 1 mbps. It really sucks. Very unhappy with Boost right now.

I am going to use use up the rest of the data to see how slow it gets!

Anyway, i am only like two days away for my monthly cicle.

The best way ever to use crazy amounts of data is to download full movies from youtube via tubemate. Tubemate isnt available in the playstore but u can it at TubeMate YouTube Downloader 1.05.46 - Official Website. downloadsome movies. One month I was at 5 gb doing this. Lol.

You know that it might sound funny., but seriously i was trying to use all my data, i had left about 1.25gb and i was watching videos on youtube, streaming my radio music on tuneIn, but i could not deplete the data, lol

Were they HD videos? I use Dolphin Browser in desktop mode with flash player to watch videos on YouTube (some videos won't play if it knows you are on a mobile device)

Do you have Netflix? If so, then get the app for it and start watching some movies on your phone. I am sure you will get through the data then. lol

I tether my xbox, ps3, and pc's. I have used approximately 3 to 4 gb last month. Used my usage meter. No boost mobile texts, same speed. On ga10. Course I do pay the extra $10 for tethering and have no 4g in my area. Can't beat the unlimited with tethering for $50 a month.
