Lg Spirit or Lg Motion?

My Verizon contract is up very soon. I am going to make the switch to Metro PCS. Herein lies my problem. I am torn between the Lg Spirit and the Lg Motion. The spirit has a bigger screen and a slightly better battery I know.
But is the battery really that much better? Is the performance of Spirit any better? If anyone has some advice on which better, I welcome it. I have heard that the Spirit is "not an upgrade". Any thoughts on this? Thanks!

Ha! I fired Verizon after about 6 years 6 days ago.

Even though my Droid X is a rock compared to the Motion, I sure miss the missing screen. I'd go for the Spirit if you can afford it. Right now there's less than $10 difference between the Metro after rebate price and the Wirefly price.

I needed to get hooked up with Metro before the beginning of Jan to slither in on the $55 plan and my choices then were just the Motion and very newly released with 0 411 Avid.

LG spirit is out performing both the motion and galaxy s3 in benchmark test. It's really smooth and snappy. There isn't any lag and the screen is very responsive.

Benchmark here:

Clock speed here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3dozqDbiETo

Remember though if you are looking to root/custom Rom and or Tweak your phone. The Spirit is only a week old so there is no root for it as of yet. Your best bet is to go to a Metro corporate store and play with the working display models.

Not an upgrade to what? if you mean the Motion. It's nothing like the Motion. It has a larger screen and is clocked faster. Frankly the Motions body looks like a toy compared to the Spirit.

Get the motion if you don't mind the smaller screen and the slightly less powerful battery. TBH, with mild use the motion has good battery life.

Get the spirit if you like a bigger screen, and slightly better battery life. Otherwise, the only difference between them is the Larger screen v smaller screen, slightly better battery on the spirit, and a slightly updated LG UI on the spirit.

Spirit has a faster processor, its the same one that is in the galaxy s3

There isn't any difference at all, as long as your phone is fast and smooth to run any game, (which sprit and motion can do, a few points from a benchmark test doesn't make a phone any less or more faster, if you have used the motion and the spirit, the spirit is obviously more faster with its updated kernel and updated LG UI..)

So, I see that they don't have the same processors. The only processor difference between the Spirit and the S3 is that the Spirit says it's a 32 bit Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8960 Lite and the S3 doesn't have Lite on it. I don't know what difference that makes between Lite and non-Lite. The Motion has this processor 32 bit Qualcomm Snapdragon APQ8060.

Yall are gonna LUV this un.

This reviewer gagging all over the Spirit. This POS phone sucks. No upgrade from the Motion. I will say his reviews are funny if nothing else. Be sure your Urbonic plug in for your browser is up to date before you try and watch. :D

I'm 95% sure that article is wrong.

Saw that video.
That guy had a bunch of brain farts throughout the vid. LOL
He obviously doesn't know that phones get thinner and lighter while materials get better (this is how technology works), so to say a phone is of lesser quality because it's lighter than the other is plain dumb.

Would the motion be better quality than my s3 because it's heavier than s3... !Absolutely not!

That video should be voted thumbs down  all day.

So if you want to avoid every argument in this thread, here it is:

Get the LG Spirit if you like a bigger screen with a slightly better battery

Get the LG Motion if you don't mind the slightly weaker battery and smaller screen. Otherwise, as said, they're both literally the same! Except the Spirit has a 3.0.2.2 kernel and a slightly updated LG UI. That's not important though, you aren't buying a phone because of the way it looks (hopefully)

You can't say they are the same phone when they look nothing alike, lol that's funny. The UI might be some what similar but they are way different phones. people need to buy what fits them. one phone might be better for one person and not good for another person. argument over!!
