Here's the thing, I'm an iOS/OSX user and I've been watching my friends using android and now I want to buy an android. I want to buy a tablet for college GNote 10.1

I want to know a bunch of things, and I'll be asking a lot!
Mainly, I know I can make a "book", I think its called that, which I want to use to write my notes in per subject but I really want to know:
1) How can I add a page?
2) What is my limit of pages?
3) Most importantly, how can I save it on my Mac? I mean backup my notes?
Or if I can't, can I export my "books" as a PDF/word and how?

1) Once you make a book, there is a + sign to click to add pages. I do not know of a limit per pages
2) Unknown - read on another forum of a user importing a 500+ page PDF
3) There are backup utilities available in the Play Store (Android equiv of iTunes, but easier to use) or you can just drag and drop your files to make copies

Forum user T White here has made several great little videos showing how she uses her Note in school. I am a teacher and use it all the time for marking up PowerPoints, PDF files, and taking/keeping notes at meetings. Outstanding device - highly recommend it.

S Note (included note-taking app) comes installed, and can open/read/allow for annotation of PDF files. There are other apps available in the Play store, some free, some for a price (many are <$5. Visit play.google.com and check it out).

Thank you both so much!

I have another question, if i wanted to download a ppt/PDF/doc file do I need a special program? like on iOS I had iBooks for PDF, Pages for doc, and Keynote for ppt.

There are bunches of applications that read pdf files. There are bunches that annotate files. Not all of those applications that annotate those pdf files are equal. Simple annotation: Adobe Reader. More complex: S-Notes and Lecture Notes. If you want to tie in multiple pdf files in 1 document, Lecture Notes. Lecture Notes also handles multiple layers. Both Lecture Notes and S-Notes do well, just remember S-Notes kinds likes only 1 pdf file per document. Lecture Notes has no limitation. Both allow the background to be changed.

There are some printers wanting your annotated file to be flat before printing and that means S-Note and Lecture Notes.
