Don't get me wrong, I would love JB, but would be very surprised the next update to the Incredible 4g will be an upgrade to Android 4.1.

The update link for the DNA was for bug fixes, since it had already shipped with JB.

You can also look at a capture of that webpage of the i4g support webpage here:

Software Update: DROID INCREDIBLE 4G LTE by HTC - Coming Soon! | Verizon Wireless

The "Update Soon" has been there since 2/5 (8 days) and none of the major android sites have reported a update coming for the i4g.

The title of the OP "New Jelly Bean info page at VZW" is misleading imo (cause I want this so much) :).

because its verizon....i would not be surprised if this was for the old update at all...HTC and Verizon are very slow with these things.

They are very slow. That is why Google is the only way to go. I have this phone but I wish I would have gotten something like the Galaxy Nexus or The Nexus 4. Sadly I was unaware of the Galaxy Nexus being available on Verizon. Wish I would have done more research. For researchers that may read this post: if you are thinking on getting a new phone, do some more research. I have rooted it and gained S-OFF. I put CyanogenMod on it (Link: cannot post links (first user post) with Gapps (Goo.im: cannot post links (first user post)). It is better than the stock ROM. I waited for a while for the update because I heard that the update was coming, but I didn't know when. I waited for about 3 months. Nothing... I just thought, 'Screw it, rooting and going with CyanogenMod. When, or should I say IF, the update comes, I can try it out by flashing the stock recovery and stock ROM and go and get the OTA or get it off XDA when/if they put it up.

Thanks for the links. I'd appreciate any rooting tips you can give. I've rooted my two previous HTC phones, but the how-to's for this one are poorly written, IMO. They're full of ambiguous statements, giant, colorful text, and vague resource references. I'd buy a guy a good beer for a decent clear, simple writeup.

Are you just unlocking the bootloader or going for S-OFF which I suggest
