hey I just thought about something NAB is going on right now and Verizon has a booth there. I just thought of the show (since 90% of our sales guys and engineers are there) and was thinking what if they show it off there this week? I mean it really isnt a show for your average public but for the broadcasting community. Thoughts?

Sorry for the ignorance, but what's NAB?

KFC Double Down - KFC.com

thats one incredible sandwhich! hopefully we hear of other big announcement/releases today..
Hahaha, I just had one for lunch. It's really greasy and salty, but not horrible.

(25, no kids, gf, using a disposable income for a new phone. Can't stand my Storm)

<--- 21 as of 12/02/09!! :D Isn't that Incredible??
b'day too!

12/02 is DH's

Been lurking for awhile... after getting prematurely excited about both the Passion and Bravo, I'm excited for the impending release of the Incredible. It's time to retire my LG VX6800... :D

Two questions...
1) Is anyone going to wait for reviews of the phone before rushing out and getting one themselves, or is the general consensus that with Android 2.1, a phone like this can be purchased on specs alone.

2) Is it worth just getting a one year contract with Verizon? I am strongly considering this option just in case any LTE enabled phones come out by early 2011.

1) Not waiting for reviews. If (for some very unforeseen reason) I don't like it, I have 30 days to take it back. Not planning to have to do that though.

2) I'm not. You can usually get some sort of discounted pricing between 12 months and 20 months when NE2 kicks in and for me, I don't know that LTE will be deployed enough in my area to warrant it. Plus many have said that they will start out with standalone broadband type devices for LTE first before introducing phones (I have no knowledge personally either way). But I usually only upgrade every 20 months or so anyway due to NE2. Since they've lowered the amounts of the NE2 discount, I suppose that could change my mind next year.

I'm impressed with the amazingly large age span this phone appeals to. That really *is* Incredible. :D It's a hard balance to successfully walk as a company/device.

33 here but with 3 trips to the hospital recently and loads of drs appts definitely feeling older than that. I need the Inc to pass the time in waiting rooms. :(

ok, so here's the issue with topics like this so please read and maybe next time we don't get caught up in this...

So you say something like..."Sounds like we need a poll"...

And 7 pages (and everyone's life story...and possibly Mod involvement, thread closing, etc...) later it's over...

Issue is nobody skips to the last page or reads all the way before posting. We all can't wait to share our own info (i'm guilty myself) and some funny quip about it. So anyone's warning to stop posting, get back "on topic" (whatever that even is on this thread these days), etc... is basically pointless because in a matter of minutes you have 100-200 posts.

Having said that, lets let this current topic run its course, everyone go ahead and tell us whatever you want to tell us regarding your age but in the future lets be mindful of how EASY it is for something like this to get out of hand and avoid it!

I was stuck with a HTC Mogul for a while, but it had one feature I really loved. You could set it up to automatically change the phone to vibrate during the time you had an event on the calendar. Will the incredible have this feature?

My first post! I guess this is more of an Android question rather than an Incredible question by I would like to know too. I'm currently using an XV6900 with WinMo 6.1 (hangs head in shame). I use a program called PhoneAlarm to auto switch into meeting mode when I have a calendar event. Is there anything like that on Android?

BTW I've really become a junkie on this forum quickly! I love all the info and really appreciate the work you guys go to. I hate the direction WinMo 7 looks to be going, so I'm jumping ship over to Android. I was looking at getting a Droid, but you guys have really sold me on the Incredible. :D

Lot of Phillies fans here, and you can add one more to the list. 25, no marriage, no kids, plenty of money for an incredible and new 2 year contract. I just want to erase the mistake I made picking up a samsung glyde 2 years ago, and watch the home opener today at three. Also I plan on getting this phone asap, in regards to waiting to see if there are bugs, if there are any significant problems I can always return it.

Sorry:p Hate to ruin your fun, but I wanted to get in before we got a couple pages of ages and an angry poster saying something worse than there's a different thread for that.

I tried, but to no avail, I figure just better to let it run its course then bring it up again.

Thanks for the courteous reminder. I would hasten to add that Private Messages work extremely well for this sort of thing. No off topics there.

Now back to work so I can come back at 1PM Eastern to start hitting F5 for news of the VZW announcement(s) of the day.
